Sombra was used in her farm EMP off health packs form as well, the character has always been stuck between being oppressive in OWL and awful on ladder. Even if we look at the Hack and EMP argument put forward, I think people completely miss how much of a buff permanent stealth and translocator were to those two abilities.
No. Bomb - 20 meters, EMP - 15. And maybe its bomb who has too big of an AoE?
It needs, but has a small grace period after an enemy has hidden behind a wall.

She used to be between low D and F-tier in the early EMP bot days, where being able to have Ult every 30 seconds was her gimmick. Not only could she farm EMP on hacked healthpacks. Ults also used to charge 20% faster globally.
With her stats as they were even in pro play, its silly to claim she was oppressive in any way.
Main job of Sombra previous to goats meta was to scout on attack what the enemy was running and then tp back to spawn to swap comp to counter what the enemy was using. Sombra herself wasnt actually used.
Now Sombra sees popularity in OWL in what people call Sombra goats as anti meta comp against actual goats.
Both comps which cant be run when 2-2-2 lock is coming.

As a Sombra fan, what would you think of swapping HACK from a single person emp to something more like a hack? I was thinking if you are hacked you instead of gaining ult charge for what ever, you lose the same amount. IE; Tracer is @80% Ult charge. Gets hacked as she’s charging at a Roadhog. AS she starts to deal damage instead of building ult charge for the duration of the hack, her damage REDUCES her ult charge, as if her Ult system has been HACKED? Just a thought, what ya think?

your team gets EMP since it has the area of a soccer field… how does the mei will use her wall or your tank shield anything?? the sombra player has to be very stupid to mess up her emp.
YOu said that the D.Va bomb can be shielded. That team, in this case “the enemy team,” is hiding from the D.Va bomb.
Furthermore, if you drop a mei wall in the middle of the point, Sombra is only going to be able to EMP one side of it.
Lucio’s ultimate also has the same area as the EMP does, but the effect is given for 3 seconds after Lucio has initially landed.
You can also play heroes uneffected by Hack and EMP, such as McCree, Hanzo, Reaper, Orisa, Moira, Ana, Mercy, Baptiste, Torbjorn, and Ashe, to name a few.
The playerbase has been dealing with Sombra for the last 2 years without a problem. She still isn’t winning any games, still isn’t contributing to her team. She’s as annoying to play against as any other hero, except she doesn’t win games.

do you even play sombra? who will use emp when there is a mei wall? with the invis you can get into the perfect position and get the timing right… moira cannot fade and turns into a sitting duck, same as mercy, easily killable.
the playerbase was not able to deal with sombra, but sombra being a hero that requires very good shotcalling skills and communication which many players lack… just because you cannot make her work in your games does not mean she isnt busted.
i say the best counter to emp is widowmaker ult but only useful in specific situations where she cannot sit out the time and has to use it.
I mean yeah, what off tanks do in Overwatch really has little to do with the term “tanking” in games. Sitting in choke holding M2 is far closer to actual tanking, so you can’t blame people for not fully being assimilated by this communities twisted nomenclature.
This goes both ways. Just because you can’t counter her doesn’t mean she’s busted.

Except when she does get countered. Just bringing up any exampel gets always dismissed as “this team is simply not good enough”.
Sombra losses gets blamed on the player, Sombra wins gets blamed on her OPness.

You cannot react fast enough for her ultimate, which takes 0.2 seconds to activate. Her EMP is basically a “win the team fight” button, it’s disgusting.
Suggestions for Sombra Nerfs:
Increased EMP Cast Time
No Hack Stacking (Hack + EMP)

And the buffs to get her to average win rate?
You are suggesting nerf to the hero in the game with the lowest win rate, obviously you have a HUGE pile of buffs to offset those and get her to somewhere reasonable right?
Or are you just that bad that the hero with the lowest win rate in the game scares you?
