Say "Support is fine" all you like but if they don't queue

If he’s weak, buff his right click, if he’s strong, nerf his left click imo.

A better way to word this is they are fine balance wise but aren’t fun to play for most players sorta like tanks on live game where some are actually really broken but they aren’t fun.

Blizzard is sorta in a corner because tanks and supports are so much harder to balance than dps because DPS only do damage. Like if supports get the damage dps has and gets to heal + utility than they’re broken like Baptise on live game.

If they don’t than they’re usually bad.

There is a very thin line that makes or breaks supports

Yeah, I have been VERY much avoiding talking about power levels, because it doesn’t really matter.

What matters is if they queue enough. If they don’t then it is a problem.

It could be fun, it could be power, it could be just a mismatch between the player base and the power fantasy.

Whatever it is, it means some redesign is needed if they are not queueing.

I do not really feel they ARE balanced though. Most of them seem undertuned. Lucio and Moira are top, Ana is alright. The rest are meh. Zen is trash.

Yeah I can see this. In powerlevel supports are fine but they got nothing new unlike dps and tanks and they’re job is just harder to do.

Some support mains simply don’t like having to work harder but overall it’s just the fact that they got nothing new and mostly received nerfs and minor buffs that isn’t gameplay changing

They will when Geoff releases the support beta patch.

That’s exactly why they are just “fine

Maybe. We will see however soon enough. If the queue times don’t start coming right in a week, then it is a deeper problem. The newness wears off pretty quickly, but if the queue times don’t move in a big way, or worse yet, actually get worse, then it wasn’t newness driving it.

But, it will be a week before we know.

Fine is not good enough for me. Except for Zen, I would be quite happy if they left him alone…

Agree with this 100%. Another great post by you. Right now we can just say it’s because of the new toys tanks and dps got but if there isn’t a change in the next patch or beta than it’s a different problem

I don’t disagree with you, but wasn’t it quad dps, Mercy and Ball that were able to beat GOATS?

I’m usually pretty hard to get to agree fully with anyone but this post has truth behind it. Overall it’s understandable why supports aren’t getting much play but with the next patch the role should get alot more play if Blizzard delivers

You can’t just buff supports without them treading on the toes of the DPS heroes. There’s already supports that are borderline doing that as it is, like Bap and Zen.

It depends on how you buff them surely. Anyway, I’m not even sure it IS a power level problem.

Well if we’re talking about support players feeling like a free lunch to DPS, then I hate to say it but it really is just a skill issue. Supports need to be more proactive now, you can’t just healbot your way to victory from the safety of a shield any more. The tools are there for supports to be impactful, support playerers just have to make use of them.

Great, you can say they have a skill issue while they don’t queue.

It doesn’t solve the problem.

You can’t blame your players, and expect the problem to be fixed.

They are not queueing → blame them → they are still not queueing.

This doesn’t solve things, so, what is the solution?

we can be really happy on how fast our queue in comparission to other roles but sadly such disbalance its very bad for the game =\

Good. Then DPS will have to get good.

Unless it is Cassidy, and then all of a sudden, no skill issue here. No, sir!
