This isn’t that bad. And what is unlocked queue, is it the same way it works now? Would they be put into different games than the other role queue ones?
Why not show the 30 minute queue time afterwards? The gif is too lightning fast to capture how crippling forced 222 role queue would be. 30 minute gif or bust.
Yup, unlocked would be the current “normal queue”.
That’s why it’s not a strict 2-2-2 queue. The mixed queue would offload a lot of DPS picks into the 6-Any queue.
How dead do you think OW is that it’s gunna have 30 minute queues?
Honestly, as someone who is very against 2-2-2, i love this. This is how it should be implemented.
I am just rounding up from what Jeff cited. Pretty sure lots of people would leave within the first week resulting in 30 minute queues before long.
This would only apply to dps one tricks though. Supports and tanks would still get normal queue times

along with support and tanks that want to ever play DPS

Way I see it, this makes it really easy for Supports/Tanks to get into team comps where they won’t be solo tanking, or solo healing.
And it makes people that want to DPS get long queue times
There’s no avoiding that fact
Not just DPS mains or DPS one tricks
Anyone that ever chooses to play anyone from the Damage section for just even one match will have long queue times
That’s why I designed a concept that avoids that problem…
Since you’d have the 2-2-2 matchmakered against the 6Any.
And the excess DPS players will mostly be choosing the 6Any option.
Thus lowering the 2-2-2 DPS queue times by a lot.
That just creates new problems
why would you make it so 2-2-2 doesn’t go against 2-2-2? Part of the reason people want it on both sides is for fair balanced matches

Yep. This actually won’t solve anything if you put it up in a system that still allows the current system. You’d avoid the queue times but then you’re not doing much to make balance easier to figure out.

2-2-2 and 6Any would go into the same matchmaker.
Just like LFG and 6Any currently go into the same matchmaker…
So, just be to clear. Let’s say I go 2-2-2 and we go up against a team of 6 any.
Is my team going to have the chance of say, running into 4 - 1 - 1 or some other odd varition?
I figure they could do that by either limiting Healers to 2 per team for the 6Any, or by limiting OffHealers to 1 per team.
And for future stuff, just limit Rein/Orisa style AnchorTanks to 2 per team.
No need to act like all balance problems are equally difficult to solve.

Yeah keeping unlocked queue sounds like a horrible idea. Keep unlocked queue for quickplay while at the same time allowing for role queue in quickplay. For comp? Only role queue.
