Role q benefits me more even though I miss the freedom and the lower dps times q of open q.
a whole bunch of people are making these paragraphs and essays yāall are great, no shade about the faults of both rq and oq but all they need to say is this:
play role queue or play open queue, it is your choice. stop bashing others for liking what they like. You can dislike rq or oq for whatever reason you want as long as facts are acknowledged. both modes has its pros/cons.
no offense to any of you but imo these threads are just as bad as the āValorant/Apex will kill OW!ā threads. i really wish weād just stop arguing about this stuff when both modes are here to stay for a while

I like openqueue but I treat like quick play and is basically dps vs dps
couldnāt care less about my rank, team comp, or win/loss in it
Pretty sure most people prefer Role Queue, since itās impossible to find an Open Queue match in the middle of the night, but Role Queue is always playable

I certainly enjoyed the game a lot more pre 2/2/2.
Why do people even care if i want to switch to another role in the first place? You could just go tank or support in my stead if you insisted. Now iāll have to stick with 7 heroes if iām playing support, meaning iām not going to bother switching when my hero isnāt working because i donāt like half my options, and a lot of supports donāt synergise well. Ditto for tanks.
Role queue was never about having better matches. It was about control over your team mates. Pre 2/2/2 i could swap from Zen to Hog to deal with Doomfist. Or from Ana to Widow to deal with PharMercy. I no longer have this level of agency.

I did in another thread where we first talked about it, thought about it but now I donāt remember which order the links are in. I can write which servers they are but not necessarily in the right order.

If the numbers are correct theres less than 400 votes in a 50 MILLION accounts + game? I think that trying to throw this poll as a āproofā of anything is reaching.

Again, doesnt count the players that left the game because of RQ so that proves its even more skewed.

Also when RQ was introduced it was the ONLY way of playing comp for a long time. Comparison is not even in the ballpark of āfairā.

I thought that perhaps Open Queue would be more favoured, or that there would be more of a 50/50 balance.

Ah, my guess was going to be around 20%. At first it was around 25% but has fallen since.

Kinda. I respect the bag but not the principle and I think people wouldāve saw it the wrong way so I deleted it
Pointless questions since there wonāt be any changes. RQ straight out executed the population of the game and the game itself with a shot at dead range straight to the back of the head. All there is to it. With that said 90% of the ones playing the game still are people that do not even care either way and those shilling for RQ no matter what. Quality of the games did not increase one bit either nor the balance of the games.
See, originally, I was against Role Queue.
But after playing it a lot more.
I donāt think we should go back.

I used to love OQ and loathe RA. However, it seems like the only players queueing for OP are DPS mains for faster queue times.
I now only play RQ for this reason.
