I love the flex queue, because I like to flex. An MMR reset would just cause chaos about 10x worse than what we have now. It’s not a good idea, it has never been a good idea.
If you have a 65% winrate, you must be GrandMaster by now. Surely you can carry your teams to victory.
But 222 DID solve some the severe problems of pre 222. I’ll take the 222 solution any day.
There is a reason it is more popular.
Hell, QPC is dead in my region. There wasn’t enough players to support it.
They lost players until the queue times got longer than regular QP, and it blew out from there.
Open Ranked also died the same death.
They went down the same way as LFG did - not popular enough to be sustained.
I find the priority passes to be useless anyway dps queue times are still 9+ minutes

People are never happy. If you are at 65% win-rate you haven’t hit your top SR yet. You’ll be fine, everyone is equally affected.

We had a MMR reset once and the amount people cried blizzard reverted a day later and said it was a bug.
So not gonna happen ever.
Or people just learn to turn off chat and voice. There will always be toxicity because no matter what you do, some people will be uncivil. It’s just their nature and in most cases involves of a lack of proper socialization. Born a-holes basically.
Roles have unique MMRs, so that Mercy main isn’t playing Orisa at the same rank that they play Mercy.
no we never had a real MMR reset after 2-2-2 came out. the thing youre talking about was probably the bug where people who are normally 4.5 got placed in 2.5k sr and they only gained 1-2 SR per win. Not everyone got placed 2.5 either it was just a handful of people aswell
that was a bug they never announced any real and confirmed MMR resets.
If they did an MMR reset especially now in 2-2-2 and so many people being missplaced in high ranks majority would accept them. Ive seen many pros want an MMR reset because theyre annoyed that there hasn’t been an official reset for 25 long seasons
IDK man, sounds very sus that you say this. Everyone has the same opportunity to play any role as long as they wait the time (Regardless of Priority Pass/DPS ‘Shortcut’). They have just a much of right to play Ashe as you do. If they are purposefully throwing, and not just playing badly, you report them.
I am tired of the ‘Poor DPS They are so important and so much more talented than the other roles ;w;’ nonsense that these discussions bring about. Literally everyone in OW can be forced into ‘Clutch 1vs1’, supports ESPECIALLY do since they are support and get dove and attacked all the time. And yes, other roles have aim as well, shocking I know!
Your statement comes off as “Only DPS players should play DPS.” which is really gross and wrong. Overwatch has multiple classes for a reason, and you can and should be able to play them all. You can only get better playing the roles and characters, which means people will flex, and if that means your MMR, most likely QP, is messed with, oh well. it shouldn’t be that big of an issue in comp since those people would drop rank really fast for DPS role.
It’s actually really good. I enjoy being able to play dps when I want rather than when I have 40 mins free.
As for your winrate sounds like you went from 65 to 50 … Good job finding your sr.
If you think flex queue is ruining your winrate when you are playing at the same disadvantage/advantage as other dps players that’s classic projection.
Or you could just go openQ.

you might wanna work on your reading comprehension, I never mentioned ENJOYMENT, I mentioned HAVING BALANCED GAMES. You might enjoy playing tank, but if you are playing at an SR that is too high for you, you are throwing.
no clue tbh, regardless for me the problem comes before the solution, having throwers in comp ruins the experience for everyone, 1 solution is to buy an alt acc and practice, another solution is to wait until Blizzard fixes the issue.
try yes but the roles right now are quite complex, not only playing well matters, but also hero pick. Very often a bad pick can make a game very hard to win.
enough of this crap of “everyone has equal rights”. It’s a team game, if you are the weak link, just by the nature of how the game plays, you are being a detriment to 5 other people, their time and their enjoyment.
yeah, DPS takes practice, without practice if you play 1x a week you will probably be 2200 on DPS or lower, for 3000+ you need some form of training.
You can put all the qualifiers you want on it, it doesn’t matter. People need encouragement to pick up a different role. I can think of a 1000 reasons not to do something, that doesn’t mean that’s the right approach.

Well, given that the other modes die in areas where there isn’t a high population… because they are not popular enough.
Seen a lot of people dropping in rank since priority pass, games have been a mess.
Or blizzard could actually encourage people to improve at the game for once and only give passes for wins.
