Thatā€™s the problem. Iā€™m tired of seeing the Mercy complaining when the only support that is even arguably stronger than her is the OP Moira. I wish I could see their tears if they had to play Ana. Ana is really fun to play and when you win with her you feel like you accomplished something. I donā€™t even mind so much if she never gets a buff, sheā€™s just healing hard mode to me.

Anaā€™s ult is the worst support ult. Mercyā€™s is the second or third best support ult atm

Edit: ofc, this isnā€™t counting Sym; donā€™t feel like getting into discourse about whether TP/Shield gen is somehow better than nano lol

She has the strongest E ability, despite the drawbacks it has. Thereā€™s a reason it has a cast time. I used to play Mercy when she had mass rez and sometimes Iā€™d use my ult to rez our tank. A WHOLE ultimate to rez one person. It would win fights. Now itā€™s an E ability.

Donā€™t try to use logic with Mercy mains. According to them rez is the weakest ability in the game and being unkillable for 15 seconds while being able to chain heal your whole team is useless too. So weird that people play Mercy so much when sheā€™s so weak and also boring.

There are several factors that inflate her pickrate that donā€™t translate into her being in a good place.

There are only 3 Main Healers, her, Ana and Moira. Ana takes aim to be valuable, so not many will pick her. Moira is ā€œeasyā€, but she takes resource management. Mercy is easy and consistent.

Most games take 2 healers(usually a main and a side healer) and there are only 5 healers available. Of course her pickrate will be high.

We are not arguing sheā€™s unplayable, but sheā€™s mediocre at best and the Devs guaranteed us that if the changes hurt her, there would be fixes. Then they died on us.

Sheā€™s in the best place out of the three main healers. Sheā€™s the only one that isnā€™t comp- or map-dependent.

Her normal kit is fine. But her ult is lackluster at best.

From another thread where a Mercy main was saying sleep dart is better than rez. Iā€™m sorry I know it isnā€™t all Mercy mains saying the same thing, but Iā€™ve seen every ridiculous thought possible on Mercy on the forums. Hard to figure out which Mercy mains are the reasonable ones.

I disagree that sheā€™s mediocre. Rez on a 30 sec cd, good mobility, regen after 1 second of not taking damage, angel bouncing, an ultimate that chain heals, damage boosts, AND keeps YOU safe with constant regenā€¦ Not to mention 60 hps, and itā€™s a stream of constant heals. She is NOT mediocre.

She was fun before her rework.
Ppl can b*tch and whine about how she was ez and took no skillā€¦(im not talking about hide and seek mercy wannabes) but it was involved and fun to use her as you had to keep eyes on the surroundings, know when to ult, and stay alive during a teamfight.

Now if you popped rez and its on cd and any other support up you can die and team will barely feel its impact.

I hated Valk. Knew it was bad in beta. Knew it was going to be boring as f**k on live. (and yes many MANY mercy mains knew it would be nerfedā€¦)

Except if it wasnt MEANT to be used during itā€¦it WOULDNT be usable during valk.

By having it usable means it is INTENDED to be used during and out of Valk.

HAving it punish you for using it in Valk is dumb as heck :expressionless:

But thatā€™s how the game works. Mercyā€™s normal kit is very strong, good mobility, consistent healing, strong E ability. If her ult was too strong she would be way too well rounded and OP.

The only healer with highly-defensive/healing ults are Zen and Lucio, both of whom have low healing in their normal kits. Ana and Mercy both have insanely powerful kits with moderately strong ults, and their ults are both used offensively (for the most part).

Another example, Widowmaker has one of the best basic kits in the game, with a ā€œweakā€ ult.

If they buff Valkyrie they need to nerf her normal kit in some way. And what would they nerf? GA or healing orā€¦?
