Nope.
I mean Storm Arrows.
Nope.
I mean Storm Arrows.
So nothingâs changed?
im still not seeing it
It has 5 shots.
Thatâs wrong.
is it 5? i thought it was 6 just based on where the markers are placedâŚbut im blind so im probably looking at it wrong
wait until they add another one to âfixâ this
I also agree with your statement that I hope there is something appealing given to tanks and supports.
Oh boy, youâre right, it probably needs a buff for OW2.
Zen currently doesnât die the minute he is hacked. He can actually fight back against sombra on live. On OW2, she gets a huge damage buff so Sombra literally deletes him before he can do anything.
She has one.
And not all DPS have a mobility tool.
She has none. Ok, all except Bastion (but at the very least he can move in sentry with next rework)
I am absolutely not a fan of soldierâs new firing sound
Its way too punchy and loud and does way too much reverb. In Overwatchâs original design philosophy they explained that they kept louder/punchier sound for more stronger/burst ranged weapons like widowmaker or mccree. This is way too much for what soldierâs gun does with that firing rate.
Not to mention not only was the original already perfect, but it actually sounded snappy and like it was firing energy round. The new one seems to have completely forgotten what the weapon was in the first place and sounds like its firing actual bullets. Which would have worked for something like Bapâs weapon but Soldier fires a pulse/energy rifle.
I still donât get what was with the new sound design team with its insistance of ârealismâ with the gun sounds when overwatch is the kind of game with weapons that absolutely doesnt need it. If anything it really breaks the very mood overwatch set for itself.
Even if i eventually get used to it, i still feel like its gonna be rough since soldier is my second most played dps. I feel like this should have been kept for a different hero with a much lower firing rate that deals more damage or something. And that actually fires bullets.
I would echo this sentimentâŚâŚoverwatch was never something that I looked at as âan emulation of real lifeââŚ.so I kinda like that stuff sounds âvideo-gameyââŚ.the movement towards more realistic sound is a bit of a weird directional choiceâŚ.
But also not something that really changes things muchâŚ.itâs w/e
Maybe to you it doesnât. But I watched the 3 gameplay videos first and then started watching the Super POV one. The player-specific POV ones being repeats of the first 3 wasnât an issue for me in my desire to watch these 3 extra videos or not.
BUT I had to stop watching after like 1 minute because the new sounds for Dva shooting, both in and out of mech, was very loud, obnoxious, and downright annoying. Her out of mech gun sounds AWFUL and very distracting and it made me click off the videos.
Canât imagine having to play in a game with that hero and hearing that the entire game let alone being the one playing Dva and hearing it the loudest and most directlyâŚ
EDIT:
Like go to the Super video and start watching at exactly 0:20 but even more so listen when he gets out of mech at 0:34-like 0:37. That crap sounds downright obnoxious and awful.
Like literally no one has ever asked for weapon sound updates in the history of OW. The only time people ever asked for anything relating to the sounds/audio in this game was when Summer Games 2017 came around and completely bugged out the audio queues in completely random situations for YEARS. I legit couldnt hear Ult voicelines FOR YEARS until like this year when they finally fixed things up largely.
There is a big difference between making changes and updates to fix and improve a product VS making changes just to say you did to make the product look more shiny and that the excessive amount of time spent on it is justified.
OW2 falls into the latter and these new weapon sounds are so highly unnecessary. Itâs just another distraction to make OW2 look bigger and more grand than it actually is.
The sounds we currently have are nice and not obnoxious and no one has ever asked for them to be changed.
Simple case of dont fix what doesnt need fixing.
Nice textures, but I still hope they add 25% render option, for old people like me.
This is way to picky you know you can just turn down the volume.
Keeping sounds that are 6 years old would be insane for a brand new game.
No offense but this is the most downright trash take I have ever seen. Audio queues are very important in a game like this.
You canât just âsimply turn your volume downâ if the new sounds are obnoxious and terriblke and distracting sounding. You are also turning down the volume on important audio queues at the same time.
Itâs not like you can just turn down the sound levels on your own gun/on individual heroes
Have any other 0.05 second low effort and troll takes?
Iâve never really liked or been able to use OW sound queues well, and I genuinely prefer the ones iâve heard from OW2 so far.
Theyâre a lot louder, more impactful, and easier to distinguish, at least to me.
I donât like the different healing in and out of combat. Bad idea imo and I think it will be frustrating for all the players on the team not just the supports.
I like the Brig changes. If that stays like that or similar I will probably be playing her more than I do now. Will miss the stun effect, but I like having bash as a longer movement ability on shorter cooldown with more damage. Iâll take the trade of the stun for all of that. Looks like there is another trade off of less healing but more uptime on inspire, another trade off I like. Overall I think it is a good job on Brig.
Wish I could be more detailed with Mercy, but all I can say is she looks ineffective. I donât have specifics why, but she seemed to just be there flying around doing nothing effective. Itâs like nothing changed except making her weaker than in current OW. I donât think this is a good idea.
Edit: Sounded like there were clear audio cues when a teammate died, liked that also. Are the team displays on the top like in replay going to be up there during the match as well? Idk if both teams should be up there but having your own team would be great.
Thatâs all I have watched so far, I hope it is constructive enough to be useful feedback.
Looking great. Gameplay looks fluid and crisp.
Excited for ow2.
