Oh, I totally agree with this too. I finally got in today after waiting for 15 minutes. Stayed logged in for six hours just to get some games in. Was curious to log in after signing out and ran into the same issues, having to wait with X amount of people in queue. I have a lot of things to say, but don’t have the right head space to censor myself to avoid getting banned.

I have been playing Overwatch for the past 4+ years on PS4 and nothing has transferred over to OW2- no coins, cosmetics, gold guns, stats, or button presets. Almost all the heroes are locked by oddly enough Kiriko isn’t. I restarted the game and even deleted and reinstalled it. Nothing has worked. After waiting hrs to play it’s basically unusable. Especially without my button layouts. Please fix this Blizzard, Overwatch is literally how I decompress my day. Lol

I’m amazed that I’ve been able to exert enough self control to avoid being banned myself given the fact that I still haven’t been able to login once!

In regards to the phone number system being changed can you guys still at the very least TRY and work towards cracking down on the racism, sexism, just overall toxicity within the community, especially during competitive matches?

Online interactions cannot be rated by the ESRB. Unfortunately, humans are disgusting people and there will always be some people that are just butt holes and try to hurt other people or make them feel bad however they can.

UPDATE: Half of reports are coming from players who have not yet completed their account merge 1.5k. This is understandable because there’s a bug causing the account merge prompt to not show up on some consoles. This is a difficult issue for us to test internally, but we rolled out a UI fix earlier today to make your account merge status clearer.
In the other half of reported cases for this issue, things are just taking longer than expected for items from the original Overwatch to transfer and populate in Overwatch 2. If you’re experiencing this issue, please perform your account merge if you’ve played Overwatch on multiple platforms previously, and re-login to see if this addresses the problem.
In all cases, no player data has been wiped or lost, and we will continue to monitor this issue.

I’ve submitted a ticket as per instructions, but I also want throw my voice into the mix of these steps (the singular one provided) did absolutely nothing. Logged in and out multiple times with my characters staying locked.

was your account completely wiped initially? where you locked out of heroes too before merging?
Seems to be a widespread issue they’re working on. For now, all we can do is wait, Im on console and they temporarily removed the shop and buy cosmetics options till they fix it

Once again, thousands of players like me are locked out completely. I’m so sorry you only have access to half the game while others don’t have access to it at all. Why are you acting like playing casual the first couple days is worse than not playing at all? Wouldn’t players trying to get into the client be a higher priority than players not being able to play ranked and have access to cosmetics? Silly take.

I still cant play only because its so unclear what is happening with PC/console merging. What UI fix are you talking about? Nothing shows up when i log in via ps5. If i use PC theres an button to open my blizzard account page. Then what? It shows I’m connected to PS5 under connections. Still cant login to either platform.

This is bogus that my phone number which I have had for years is not considered “post-paid” and will not be accepted by Blizzard so now I can’t play OW2. Dick move Blizzard!

give me ingame money and battlepass xp for having to waste time waiting through queues. first battle pass honestly should’ve been free for every ov1 player at least, but if you are going to make us waste time waiting just to get in the game, i’d imagine we’re going to be struggling to get enough xp to get through it. it’s not going to make it ‘better’ but at least compensating your players won’t make them feel as cheated. what an awful launch for an already dreaded title.
they just revealed that you won’t need a number to play anymore if you played ov1 and have a battle.net account, it goes live oct 7th or something you can read more here
