Im 42 i love soldier 76 (since its my year of birth),he talks like clint eastwood( dirty harry,cowboy),even has my last name!And he is old lol and likes to go into old man rage mode with the visor.

I’m a 35 yo dudette. The game is still pretty good for me, I stay out of comp and have a fun time for the most part.
I mostly flex now, tho I spent a good 6 month period between Oct 2017-Apr 2018 playing mostly as Tracer. Other than Tracer, I like Brig, Orisa, Zarya, and Mei the most. I find I struggle a bit with reaction time and aiming in an fps in general as I come from a third person shooter background.
Soldier is fun, I loved him when I first started playing. His grumpiness makes me laugh. My bf is a mostly a soldier one-trick. How do you feel about McCree, who also has that cowboy style?
McCree i tried a few times…i just wish he could run like soldier.I come from a background of battlefield game/planetside 2 game play with the running so i feel at home with soldier,but im sure ill venture into more toons.I was playing Orisa at first and i enjoyed her.
Lol I remember the first time I tried a different hero other than soldier I was SO UPSET that they couldn’t all run. I came from Gears of War where the characters roadie run and playing anyone other than soldier felt soooooo slowwwww. Must be why I gravitated to speedy little Tracer. 
I wish McCree had 2 combat rolls. So many times I try to combat roll out of harms way and the roll leaves me just a hair away from cover and I die. 
By the title alone, I thought this was going to be a much creepier thread.
LOL Trogdor now that funny as hell man and to Trilly i just tried tracer tonight and at first she wasnt jiving with me but after playing some she kinda grew on me a bit in jsut a few minutes.Some one during that game period had soldier so i tried tracer.

Yes, there are quite a number of us “Older Watchers” as i call it.
Myself, i got into the game primarily because my 13 year old daughter wanted to try it out due to the hype. So we both started about 6 months ago in mid-to late February.
Yeah, Soldier 76 seems to be a grumpy old man like me. Totally hilarious.
Myself, i play the other “old man”, Reinhardt because i have always enjoyed playing Tank classes in MMORPGs and cRPGs, second to cleric / healing classes.
My reaction time has always sucked, which was why i steered clear of FPS as a youth and because i dislike the First Person perspective (never got into Bethesda’s Elder Scroll games nor their Fall Out series).
There are some older gamers like us and their SR are darn good. I am the worst by a wide margin.
However, i enjoy this game very much because it has a MOBA element to it and since everyone else enjoys shooting everyone else instead of tanking or healing, i can just let the young 'uns go all batsheetz crazy with that as i trudge onto the objective.

I tried that setting before but it took to long to find a game so i really didnt try it i just didnt give it a chance to find a game i guess,but ill try it again eventually.
Definitely still love the game. I’ll prob be playing less soon as I’ll get back into destiny 2 for the expansion. Then there are some single player releases that’ll eat into my solo q time. Might get into battlefield when it goes on sale as I tend to not pay full price for anything anymore lol.
But I play 2-3 night a week with a couple rl friends my age or older that I’ve known since middle school.
cool,i would play with some other old dudes at my work but they all have consoles and not PC power…im not good with a controller anymore unless its a racing game ,plus my hands are small and i dont want crab claw from holding a controller for hours 
41 only my ready time with projectile heroes dipped a bit. But once I warm up after several games I am back to my old gamer self.
Main Lucio, Dva, flex tank and support and have fun with Sym occasionally
That’s pretty cool you got all those little things in common with one of your fave heroes, man.
My aim got better now then ever before; I use both hit-scan and projectiles and found that the fast pace of the game developed my reaction and accuracy. I only found out when I decided to give Widowmaker a try defending Anubis. I’m not Mr Fantastic but I took out the team before then even entered the arches, two opponents left the game and that’s when I realised my aim was decent. I play a lot of Mei now since I love aiming with her projectiles. Personally I do a lot of sports and exercise so it helped my reaction in games too. (I’m 37)
