Be sure to pop in and tell us how Forsaken goes. I heard they are adding a bow-type weapon and more super abilities, which sounds spicy. I have the base game but did not get any season passes (I heard they lacked content) but Forsaken sounds good. I try to be optimistic anyway.
The game is poorly balanced and only 10 or so heroes are even viable. There is little to no new content and matches are decided before they even start based on picks and attitude.
The problem with Overwatch, Iāve found, isnāt inherently with how Blizzard balances.
Itās with the community.
On top of that, you lost your legitimacy when you said youāre going to go play the new expansion for Destiny 2. Sure, keep giving money to Activision, so they can keep making the same anti-consumer games like Destiny for years to come. Or did you forget that you need to buy access to every bit of new content?
Nah, fam. I am not tired or bored of it. I still play it constantly. I AM taking a slight break to learn Rainbow Six Siege. But that is just because I want more heroes, my namesake. Siege just gives me the opportunity to try new characters that Overwatch is not really doing. But I played it for a few hours literally yesterday and eagerly await to Halloween event and Blizzcon shortly thereafter. It is my favorite online game and probably always will be.
I complain because I care. And no offense intended, white knights like you are precisely why the game is in this state. If the community makes their complaints known, the developers can account for that and address them. I have experienced plenty of games dying on to have the developers express problems that the COMMUNITY POINTED OUT THE ENTIRE TIME. The inherent issue, it is ānegativeā to criticize the game so few people are brave enough to voice their concerns because you are the vast majority. āEverything is fineā is always the motto as it gets worse and worse and the developers see your voice as the loudest. And when the game inevitably dies, guess who already left? The people who were supposedly still enjoying it while everyone who was ātired and boredā are left with the remains discussing how avoidable it all was.
I understand that is not your intention. I doubt it is the intention of anyone content with the game. But that is just realistically what the developers see and why they feel no pressure to address the real problems. If everyone unified, progress would be made and those changes are what the game needs to remain at the top.
We both care about the game in our different ways. The inherent issue is that we want something changed and while you are not opposed to it, you act like you are. There is no secret ulterior motive to anyone leaving the game other than the fact that they want it improved.
But whatever, as I stated, I have been there and done that with plenty of games. I am ready for Overwatch to end whenever that is. It is just sad that the MAIN incentive for me to play the game is because it is not going to be around for as long as I would like. It feels like a waste learning Siege when I could be spending time on Overwatch. However, at the same time, I am so starved for something new that it is just not feasible to keep playing Overwatch as my only game.
Jelly has been on break for months and it really has helped. The things that need to be fixed arenāt getting fixed for a while, so letās wait it outš
Hopefully next year, because I would love to play again, but not when I know I wonāt enjoy it.
Overwatch is great game, itās just itās current state thatās bad. Thatās allš
