😀 Highlight: The Slow Fall Of Overwatch | When Popularity Isn't Enough

I was waiting for someone to talk about this xD CPG can be misleading at times, or just straight up idiotic, but he’s 100% right on this topic.

Every game has its problems, even the best E-Sports game ever made (Broodwar) is not perfectly balanced at all levels.

This was quite interesting, to say the least.

Overwatch is strangling itself😂

And being popular isn’t even close to enough, and can’t hide what’s really happening.

A change is needed, or it won’t last too much longer.

Here’s to hoping next year is way better then this year is.

Nah… this guy’s essays have gotten worse and worse the more subs he gets. (They’re for kids who can’t think for themselves or use the internet, apparently.)

I used to find his “research” more thorough in the beginning. Maybe this video is on point, but all his other crap automatically means I’ll refuse to waste 15 more minutes on more crap. That’s the consequence one gets for being misleading in one’s research.

I think he nailed it with bilzzard only looking to make a good e-sport out of this game and how that goal isint the same as the playerbase

I felt the video was compelling. I agree with most of what was said.

My one point of contention is how the creator of the video splits the responsibility of why things are how they are.

The community can and will have influence in the game, or any game really. Ultimately it isn’t up to the community to make a great game. Blizzard is omnipotent in that regard. It is up to them to make or break their product.

At this point I would, my opinion, point to the money making factor as to why Blizzard does what they do. As long as they are making money, they will continue to do just what they have done, and are doing now.

I hope Ow doesn’t kill itself or I’m jumping ship to Smash 5

I think you and me are doing that anyways😂

And wow, he is spot on, blizzard really doesn’t care much for the future of the game, and it feels like they don’t really want it to grow or go anywhere.

It’s been the same since launch, and needs some big changes to keep players in.

Let’s hope blizz does something🤗

does he offer any new relevant information or unique insight at any point?

no offense or anything, I agree with the basis of most of what is said, but it is nothing I did not already know and I watched five minutes of the same bias opinions and conjecture that I read on these forums every day before stopping it - does it pick up at any point or am I missing something?

idk to me this is basically just Overwatch Forum: The Movie. which I guess explains why the Overwatch forum likes it.

Just wait, when another game comes out that does all of what overwatch does but better, then blizzard will fix the bugs and release more content

I don’t see any actual new players anymore, just new accounts.

An interesting video that is very much correct about Overwatch’s current course. Hopefully the captain will change the course soon before it may eventually hit an Iceberg and as such sink.
