Mercy being picked every game is not okay, but Ana being picked every game is

Depends on the match, in control not overly good.
As an Ana i tend to focus mercy as she can then heal the ally she is next to or while in Valk.
Think of it as ricochet healing, if she is at full health then ya go for those who need it.
If a mercy cant supply support or get killed a lot then it becomes a problem.

Ana doesn’t oneshot people. Ana can’t heal 250 HP on a headshot.

Oh ok cool! We’re on the same page, then.

at least it’s who can aim, not who can hold a button.

-> m tired of the game being a competitive skill based game

thats how its always been.

in a comp game meant for the casul and the pros…skill have to have al imit least some ppl just dominate games.

if based on skill Ana would literally be the #1 healer by a far margin.

Tracer would be #1 dps followed by genji.

Skill should have benefit…HOWEVER within reason.

Ana has high skill yes, and she has the highest potential healing of ANY support (even before the nano buff and mercy nerf).

If u cant land every shot…well GG that means u havent reached skill for the benefit.

As it IS do-able, but not easily.

“git good”

Mercy, being the consistent main healer was easy to use and required little aiming. Perfect for a newbie to learn…HOWEVER just casue she was made simpel doesnt mena she should be entirly useless in the game outside of bronze. As some peope DO prefer a certain character ignoring their skill/ease/hardness.

Ana has her niches Mercy cant do (cc and group healing/anti healing.

EVERY heaelr brigns a different thing to the table.

Not all will be usful based on current meta, but that is NOT their fault. it is the players fault for going that direction.

In a game like OW there are good and bad concepts…Ana is a bad one.
sure a healign sniper soudns fun, but in reality…a healer that has to aim nad have shots blocked in a highly changing game is not a good mix.

her kit could be the msot balanced thig nin existence, but given the unpredictability of he game would still fail at that.

Honestly, outside of grandmaster, the pickrate is spread around pretty effectively.

I’ll say it again: The game is balanced around high level play. THAT is what matters, just because Widow sucked in low ranks didn’t mean she sucked in the highest level of play, which is exactly why she was nerfed.

ana can heal her team when she is very far but mercy nah dude

Which heros hide til tje end of a fight to get value. It’s not a double standard if reaper hides until the fight begins to ult…

I remember the last time we complained about skill.

Lets not add another braindead Brigitte like hero into the game, shall we?

But, usually hiding for Mercys, it was suggested by a teammate or a flaming DPS who was mad that the Mercy got killed before she could res.

It is a double standard if multiple heroes hide-and-ult.

Only if the context is the same. Hiding til the end of the fight is much different than waiting for it to begin

Only in the sense that the ultimate was rarely used at the end of a team fight unless the Mercy was asked to hide. And Res was usually used to pick up 2-3 people.
Most Mercys peeked behind cover, which all people do.

Which is the whole argument behind the double standard…mercy hiding for just a tempo rez is pretty terrible she should be active then go for tempo. If she was hiding it was for the end of the fight

Mercy didn’t hide for tempo rez. It was more rare than most people realize to hide for the big team res.

The problem isn’t with Ana, it’s with people who can’t play Ana picking her.

… no kidding that’s what I just said.

Not really?

I said mercy was bad if she hid for tempo…because no one ever really did that. The double standard argument only applies to mercy hiding for big rez. But once again waiting til the end of the fight to get is not the same as ulting once it starts. So not a double standard
