I found a fix for my sound issues. Turning OFF both LIMIT CLIENT SEND RATE and LIMIT SERVER SEND RATE.

when someone attacking from behind or shooting at you the sound of the attack goes off cant hear the enemy and even when enemy ult behind you the sound becomes so low pitch cant hear their ult or their ult is almost about to finish all this big bug issue happen after the new patch please fix this big bug issue blizzard thanks.

No sound when ults are activated

I’ve noticed lately that sometimes ultimate abilities will be activated but no voice line will be announced. I’ve had this happen with a friendly Roadhog that I ice walled because I didn’t hear his ultimate, and just now an enemy Soldier 76 that ulted and killed me because I ran out into the open since I never heard his ultimate line.

No audio heard for enemy ultimates

This is not a consistent issue but it happens frequently enough to me and i’m out of ideas. I’ve recorded footage where it clearly is not being picked up. How can i fix this? This is causing me huge problems in competitive.

Im not having just footsteps problem etc, Im having the whole damn games sound vanishing. It vanishes, everything apart from people talking in voice, and then it appears again.
Hell, it also affects my entire pcs sound system. Discord I cant hear people talking, but they hear me, and I cant hear music from spotify either when OW cuts off its sound.

I mean, this is such a massive bug that I cant even play the game anymore. I love this game, and its frustrates me like crazy. PLEASE fix this blizzard. Never had problems with your game before, but now this.

In the latest patch I am still having some ultimate callouts entirely missing from audio despite on several occasions me looking directly at the person as they use the ultimate.

Run the scan and repair on my game too many times now, this has to be an internal issue in the game

Are thread bumps allowed? Because I have now turned volume to all SFX to 0, which I guess does not disable the SFX in the internal sound engine’s queue because I still can not hear my voice lines as I use them… very annoying. I would like a visual cooldown notification if voice lines DO in fact have a shadowban cooldown…

Its sad that I have issue in sound effect as well.

My version is missing all sweet head shot “ding” sound.
Also, the sound when a point is captured. Missing these sound feel so weird when playing the game

I also get missing audio effects. Specifically headshot sounds when playing as widowmaker, ultimate voice lines, footsteps and the sounds for damage being taken

I have the PC version of the game, and have the exact same problems.
I rely on sound to play well.

I’m good with computers and tried everything i could think of. I can asure you, it is not my pc. It is the game.

I’m having the same issue but only on the PTR. In the normal game all sounds are present and at correct volume levels. In the PTR I can only hear my character at a normal volume. Everybody else is sounds like they’re in a warehouse and far away regardless of where they are located in relation to my character. No voice lines from other characters; no ults, no warnings… nothing.

happening for me aswell, seems like its from a recent patch… i can here my allies footsteps but only occasionally the enemy, also i dont hear alot of ult noises, like hanzo’s or mccree, zarya. Allied footsteps are really loud i keep turning around wondering if someone is flanking and it ends up being a teammate, hard to get used to.

Several times during the past few months I have had to actively turn around and make sure that the teammate walking behind me is not an enemy flanking. Often times I find that my teammates are louder than the enemy and it’s very disorienting since the nature of the game is that your enemies will be louder. This is the issue that sticks out to me the most, as it’s very distracting. At times I wish I could mute teammate noises so I can just sound hog on the enemy, that I can’t hear because my teammates are so loud.

That’s been happening to me too it’s so confusing! Sometimes I’ll be running back from spawn with a teammate and keep checking back because I think an enemy’s flanking but nope, it’s just the teammate, very weird.
