Where are 6 shooters used in modern day? Mcree uses a six shooter because he’s a reference to the character from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly who also uses one. The noose is a reference to that movie and that character.

I would bet money that there are awful people who have already used the spray, perhaps in concert with a duo’d buddy, to make deeply uncool combos that don’t look like, “hey, neat cowboy movie reference.”
I mean, I think it’s pretty clear that not further aggravating people who are already battling suicidal ideation is a pretty good priority.
“But the game came with this spray!” is MUCH less important than “This imagery is not good for my ongoing mental health struggle”.
It’s not even an especially fancy spray, y’all. Even if it literally doesn’t matter, and it literally was hurting nobody, and it literally never got used in creepy ways by edgelords with lousy senses of humor, it basically doesn’t matter at all.
There would not be this kind of uproar if a spray got altered because it reflected an ability that got reworked.

This is stupid and I also hate how they kind of quietly did it without really telling any one. Maybe they put out a tweet but… I saw nothing.
I can only guess it’s because people put nooses over “protected heros” and some one got offended. But seriously you’d have to remove every kind of violence or death from the game if that was your goal. How about the Widow cross hair?
Pretty much the entirety of reaper has to go as well. This makes little to no sense in a “teen” game and is blatant pandering and bending the knee.

I mean, we literally had a law in Congress about how “Lynching is bad” and you had Representatives asking for much weaker treatment for “Attempted Lynching”.
Not like “we’re past all that”, just yet.
Especially considering you got a President tweeting racist slogans, and holding his campaign rally on the day slavery was abolished but in a town with a historic massacre of Black people.

I can see why they removed it, although suicide wasn’t the intended meaning of the spray most likely, it’s probs a movie reference.

When you actually know someone that is suicidal, which I Hope never happens, you’ll realize how fragile their mental space is.
And before you say that they shouldn’t be playing/online etc remember that they deserve to enjoy the escape of a video game just like everyone else

I understand all that perfectly fine, but I’m not going to say that you’re in anyway right. You aren’t right. You are wrong. If you want me to say “you’re wrong from my perspective” then I can do that if it makes you feel better.

Yes… cause your mind instantly goes there I suppose. I mean it generally has more to do with legal hanging’s and/or suicide. Strictly speaking mob killings tended to be a bit more violent involving a lot of emotions and blunt objects. A lynching generally takes far more calm controlled thought and premeditated actions.
I mean look at today how many people are beaten to death in the riots vs every thing else? Even shootings haven’t caused as many deaths as pure violence and arson during these “peacefu” protest that have lasted what almost 2 months?.
