They’ve desperately tried to add counters to mobility into the game, but the problem is precision characters aren’t capable of consistently killing high mobility characters in Overwatch. If high skill characters actually countered mobility then McCree would be seen a lot more often to shut down Tracer and Genji. So we’ve ended up with Doomfist (who got nerfed), Moira, and Brigette.
I personally think Moira is fine, shes powerful but shes not easier to play than Mercy… shes just a good support character. I’m not a fan of Brigette though, I feel like her addition was a mistake. She isn’t overpowered… but I just don’t feel like shes very fun to fight against as the less mobile characters in the game.
This is all the result of the fact that Blizzard undervalued mobility when they created the original characters… and they’ve been trying to fix the problem without directly nerfing flanking characters ever since. So instead we’ve end up with the initially huge hit box Rocket Punch, and 5 second stuns with very low cool downs to try and compensate.

I think the problem is less that they are adding easier characters, but that the reward you get for playing ana at a high level isn’t that much greater than playing moira at a high level
Out of all the new heroes that got released, Moira and Brigitte are the easiest. Just because they came out back to back people are flipping out because they think its some trend towards “Easywatch”.
It isn’t. For whatever reason the dev team wanted to add a couple more easier heroes to the game instead of high skill requiring heroes.
And it’s totally fine. That most likely means more people will play them, and Brig in particular was an effort to stop Dive, so ultimately that makes a greater impact when she is easy to pick up.
I doubt they’d keep making easy heroes, since Sombra, Doom, and Ana are all skill intensive heroes in their own right. Nothing wrong with releasing hard heroes back to back, but easy heroes is a “major problem” and is “killing OW”
TL;DR: Relax. This isn’t some trend, just two easier heroes created back to back. Eat a Snickers .

A big part of Ana’s problem is barrier related though. You just have an impossible time getting your healing where it needs to be as Ana sometimes. Winston jumps in and puts his dome down, defense matrix is flying around, Orisia barriers can be in the way, etc.
I’m not sure what they could do to help her, but the barrier issue and her vulnerability to dive make it really hard to play her.
a game should be fun. that’s what gets more players. not difficulty

I just love how all the guys who dropped out of pvp in counterstrike due to lack of skill come to bully a whole new demographic who isn’t aim focused. guess what? the players and the devs aren’t having it. you can work your butt off and that’s up to your free will. but it doesn’t make you deserving of anything.
You’re your own worst enemy

Complex heroes in general are better for balance.
A simple hero like Mercy will always be too strong or too weak, where as someone like Lucio is easier to balance because there’s more to work with in his kit.
Dear Sameer, stop trying to Gatekeep a video game intended to be accessible.
Genuinely, without question, the most toxic people you’ll ever meet in any online game are the ones who shout things like “low-skill players shouldn’t be able to win”, and that toxicity is the worst possible thing for a game’s longevity.
Accessibility, and allowing everyone to feel like they contribute, even if they’re not the best mechanical player, are the MOST vital things to a team shooter’s longevity.
So you’re not just wrong in the “your opinion is bad” way, you’re wrong in the quantifiable, factual way, like saying “oranges taste identical to chicken nuggets”.

Sigh.
He takes a lot of skill. It’s incredibly easy for a Doomfist to make himself an easy target and an easy kill.
The fact you said that just makes me take what you said with a grain of salt.

Not to be that person but all I did was read the topic and thought to myself, “I bet this is a Genji player.”
Yup, it is. Genji and Tracer. They aren’t even close to top 500 so I guess it’s not that easy of a game though.

That is interesting tbh, but it was that they’re all low tier.
make supports harder. tanks, dps are “hard” but moira, brigitte is kinda easy mode
This threads are the new plague. Next herois going to be 3 stars and people are going to start “this hero is too hard, only top 500 can do anything with him” blah blah blah. Want to tryhard? Pick mcree, ana , widow, etc. My god, 2 heroes whose kit doesnt require god aim in a row and this crybabies go ballistic.
Here take this

I saw the movie, liked the name and here we are.
Apparently in this game if a hero isn’t a hitscan hero they’re automatically no skill heroes anyone and their dog can get to grandmaster with.
Have ya lads considered theres more to overwatch than just aiming? This isn’t CS:GO where aiming is 99% of the skill pool.
