Everytime I try to log in, I get the message ‘lost connection to game server’
After trying for about 45 minutes, I managed to log in twice, but I still haven’t played the game; whenever I load into a match, I’m forced to repeatedly reload the map and select my hero. Until I finally just get an eternal black screen, with the loading symbol in the corner.
PC or Console? What type of network? WiFi/ethernet
PC, I’ve tried both ethernet and WiFi, neither work. I’ve tried scan and repair - didn’t work. I’ve tried reinstalling - didn’t work. I’ve tried connecting on a different region - didn’t work.
Have you tried a VPN or alternative network?
VPNs don’t work on my network, and I have no other network to connect to
If VPNs don’t work, you may also be on a network blocking gaming traffic or large downloads.
Well every other game I’ve played on this network has worked fine, including Overwatch 1, and I’ve never had problems with large downloads
Which continent are you playing from?
are you actually acting like you’re helping? i have the same issue going on and you guys keep suspending me for it. it’s the battle.net app that keeps losing connection to the server. has nothing to do with the at home connection. it’s all on your end. stop playing us
I am trying to assist the OP. I cannot see their IP as a staff member can, so I have to ask a lot of questions.
I have no idea what you’re talking about concerning your suspensions since I have nothing to do with that.
go help my ticket then
Lol, I’m not your servant, and the forum is not a ticket system. It’s a community area for players to help each other, with occasional input from staff. Good luck with your issue.
okay, apologies, Karen. I would like help from someone else then.
You didn’t provide the minimum data for anyone to help you with a connection issue in your thread. Please stop derailing the OP’s thread with this nonsense which doesn’t help them.
Im connecting from Europe
Okay, you’ll want to collect a WinMTR. Here are the IPs you’ll need to use:
185.60.114.159
185.60.112.157
I have no idea what a WinMTR is and what to do with those IPs

The issue appears to be packet loss between your neighborhood hub and the ISP network. I noted the nodes above where the loss is first occurring. Right away, 8 packets are disappearing in the ISP network (dropped). I imagine if you ran this longer, you’d see more packet loss.
