I should not go ahead and start fighting about ships in Twitter. It always makes me look like a fool when Iām always in the minority for not liking any ships except canon ones

I used to be like that too, lol. And I would sometimes pick fights.
Looking back at it now, I was very cringey.
People are very aggressive when it comes to forcing their ship down everyoneās throat. And I get it, to be passionated about something. Itās fun and exciting and you can surround yourself with people with the same enthusiasm and interests.
But sometimes itās probably good to take a step back and be more sensible and understanding. Me included lol. I think Iām going to just stay away from R76 shippers now, and let them be happy with all the fanservice and āā proof āā they got.
But Iām still not really happy if R76 becomes real, because it just goes against what I liked about Jackās and Gabeās partnership at first. ESPECIALLY now that Jack is gay, the whole strong platonic brotherhood is all the more important to me, because it is hardly ever shown, friendships between a gay man and a (supposedly) straight man.

I think platonic Jack/Gabe can be a very healthy depiction. I havenāt been liking how people are demonizing Vincent as some sort of bad boyfriend when it was Jackās decision to keep him safe.

Yeah, a lot of R76 fans completely disregard Vincent, because he is a threat. But hey, thatās fine, Iām also threatened by R76 being REAL HAHAHAHSFCkadsjfkaeeasƶf okay.
I was always, before this, rooting for a gay male + straight male friendship with Gabe and Jack, because I thought that would be really cool. And I just donāt think a tragic romantic relationship is going to add much to their already complex relationship. It kind of takes away from the integrity of Overwatch.
But if they can write some really good stuff around R76, bring it. Good writing is always appreciated.
But regardless, I canāt with the concept that Jack is carrying a picture of his ex-boyfriend he has allegedly gotten over, all the while having a more recent, fresh partner from Gabe. Likeā¦ okay dude. If he wanted a reminder of what he is fighting for, maybe a picture of Gabe would be better? Idk.

I think game can have lgbtq omnic as well. Since omnics have progressive AI and they are self-learning based on previous expirience, they are just like us, so they can have psychical deviations too. itās logicaly true, so why not, what do you think?

Heās not even just carrying the photo around. Itās not like a photo in his wallet or anything. Itās a full 8"x10" thatās been carefully stored and transported. This is top gay drama.
(That said, he is ALSO carrying around photos of Gabriel)

I had a very similar problem with Voltron because people kept dismissing Adam as the other gay character and were happy that he was dead and etc. Something about it just rubs me the wrong way.

For me, non-canon ships are light-hearted fun. Never found myself invested in any ships that arenāt canon honestly.

I know he is carrying that picture of him, Ana and Gabe, which is understandable, but are there more? Honestly curious, my bad lore understanding and speedreading are apparent lol.
Yeahā¦ like, after the explosion at the HQ, one of the only things Jack took with him was a bunch of pictures. And one of them was a picture of his ex-boyfriend. Of course, someone could argue that he just took whatever photos he could find and never looked at them again until the event with Ana. But, as of now, he acknowledges that he has a picture of his ex-boyfriend with him, and knows itās there, probably. Maybe Jack can throw it in the trash finally, what of use is it to him anyway.
Yeahā¦ this is an issue, throwing away LGBT representation, and being fine with how badly gay characters are handled, because it doesnāt suit your personal headcanons and ships you root for. I donāt really like that lol.

I do mean the one with him, Ana, and Gabriel. Itās certainly enough to invoke āWolverine Photo Memeā.
And thatās dumb as heck. Honestly. Thereās nothing wrong with Jack being gay. I saw a lot of people call him boring, ugly, meh, and that really infuriates me.

Ah, okay. Well, I wonāt be using that as a clear sign that āā ooh yeah he has the feels for Gabe too!! āā especially when Blizzard hasnāt, as far as I know, even released the picture as a spray!
But then again, the Jack x Vincent spray is a brief event spray, and the picture of Ana, Gabe and Jack will probably be included in the base game one day.
