LGBT in Overwatch Mega(y)thread šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ

I saw a lot of ā€˜ā€™ Blizzard is just using us LGBT people and trying to distract people from the issues of the game ā€˜ā€™ and whatnot, coming from INSIDE the LGBT community. And I was like yeah, yeah, if it was your fave hero, you wouldnā€™t be saying this.

I meanā€¦ I am very biased because he is my fav. And Iā€™m glad the short story made a bunch of Jack haters mad, because heā€™s described so nicely there.

Hahah. Iā€™m personally not that happy in terms of how everything turned out, but I am extremely happy that Jack is going to be an important fictional character in someone elseā€™s life, someone to look up to and to identify with. He is great representation when it comes to smashing a lot of tropes, even if he enforces some other really nasty tropes that makes me lost a bit faith regarding the future.

All hail to Gay Jack though!

The year is also only starting, maybe thereā€™ll be some positive twists and turnsā€¦

It still feels surreal. I never ever ever expected it to be one of the ā€œmachoā€ heroes. At least not Jack or Gabe, because so many guys cling to them. Wow.

Yeah, too bad for those people who tattooā€™d him into their body and now regret it because he is gay. I guess sexuality does matter in the end lul

And by too bad I meanā€¦ not really.

well the ā€œforcedā€ conspiracy isnā€™t going away but like with most conspiracies thereā€™s enough common sense to disprove it.

like this was done to distract from the ellie thing and thatā€™s why itā€™s a prose story not a comic.

but likeā€¦even if the ana skins and sprays were already doneā€¦are we supposed to believe the jack/vincent spray was rush rendered through and the whole twitch drops and streams were just organized in a couple days?

come onā€¦

I think it is a nice twist. The ā€œAll-American/military guyā€ be the gay character.

Pffft, nonsense. No straight man would wear whatever heā€™s wearing in his Daredevil skin. Weā€™ve had all the clues! He was gay since launch.

you know what? this is the perfect rebuttal to all the ā€œwhy do we need to know about the sexuality of everyoneā€ topicsā€¦

I though thatā€™s old news

Posted on the 4th I think? But no matter how much time passes everytime i see it itā€™s a fresh punch to the gut

The original Pottermore entry is from 2017, I think

They did. Soldier 76.

In regards to the Hogwarts not having modern plumbing until the 1800ā€™s While toilets had been invented in the 1500ā€™s they didnā€™t get widespread use until the 1850ā€™s. Still the fact that witches and wizards apparently just kind of I guess just peed on themselves? Well that is crazy.

apparently bungie is leaving activision and itā€™s got people hoping blizzard follows their lead and breaks away from them too. from what ive been hearing and seeing, most people support this. personally i feel if blizzard did follow bungie, they could free themselves of a lot of the controversies theyve been getting dragged through the mud over, the ā€œforcedā€ gay characters included.

anyone else seeing the articles saying 76 isnt gay enough? i think heā€™s great as he is and that if thereā€™s anything worth praising itā€™s that heā€™s not stereotypical.
