Does my opinion not count if i mostly play the most popular role in OW?
As one who was hated by many in the months leading up to OW2 (so much so I was false report spammed several times on here) I am happy players are getting exactly what they deserve.
I donāt grind OW at all anymore. I moved on this summer, and had quit & uninstalled for about 4 months. I came back the final week of OW1 to enjoy the game before it was destroyed, and now I maybe play 2-3hrs a week having previously racked up 4k hrs in 2.5 years.
The game is as big a joke as ever. The MMR is bad, the new rank system is hilariously bad, the 5v5 shift is bad, the new gamemode is bad, the BP rewards and grind is utterly terrible.
Basically this game flat out sucks now.
I jump on at the end of my Destiny play sessions with some friends to mostly screw around in Custom games in private lobbies. I have fun in there, then log off.
I will say Iāve actually grinded some of the core playlist activities this season thanks to the horrible design of locking Ram behind the BP. All my time in there does is reinforces my perceptions regarding how terrible the game now is.

it could have worked if they made the necessary changes to supports (buffs) and hitscan (nerfs/ rebalancing) but instead they did the opposite so now its extra bad

Yeah everyone knows the shop is the worst thing ever. No disagreement there. I donāt think they could make it any worse unless a purchase came with a free punch in the groin.

OW has done many mistakes, 5v5 is not one of them. No matter how many threads the 10 people who live here make per day.

Bro Iām on multiple platforms and the same things from hundreds and thousands of people per day are saying this. Iāve made two threads on Reddit that blew up just asking howās the game going and how do you see it going in the future and the amount of negative responses blew my mind!
Keep having tunnel vision my dude, Iām seeing all sides, Right now it seems itās split down the middle. More than a million love 5v5 and more than million hate 5v5 and want 6v6 back.

1 - of course thereās few meta tanks. itās the metaā¦ do you know what that means?
now, i will say i think they could be better balanced. orisa needs a very slight nerf to something. hog rework is incoming, but overall sounds like he will be nerfed. and then junker queen buffs are coming. i hope they have ideas for ball. but everyone else is relatively balanced imo.
2 - itās literally the same gameplay with less CC. itās also less busy in 5v5. is that what you mean? because you can kinda tell whatās going on now?
3 - nah, supports just canāt stand still behind double shields in the middle of the map anymore. imo supports are more fun because of this.
4 - this is just a communication issue between you and/or your team. you could say the same thing in 6v6. itās not a 5v5 issue in the slightest.
5 - iām looking at the top leaderboards and iām seeing a lot of mei, sojourn, echo, pharah. even sym and torb. i think sojournās right click still needs to be looked at, but i wouldnāt say hitscan heroes are OP by any means.

Letās look at the last 2 biggest changes to how Overwatch worked.
The 2nd most recent majot change was role queue. Back in the day I wanted there to be role queue. I know a lot of others were looking forward to role queue before it was introduced too. I was, we were all wrong, role que is a total disaster.
The most recent major change was going to 5vs5. Something that no one wanted or asked for. It is an even bigger disaster than role queue.
Anyone else noticing how the changes to overwatch have all been downhill?

The only thing hold OW2 together is the gameplay and thatās cause itās the same game as OW1. Iām sure if the new team made their own engine, version of 5v5 and heros/kits/maps they would botch it so bad.
Theyāre just building on top of what was already working from the old team.

Yes it is. Itās always one hard-meta tank and two supports that pair best with him; if it happens to be anything but a shield tank - one-shotters run rampant. So far only Zarya was meta, and even then if it wasnāt for one-shots (Sojourn) it was for mobility cheese and āburst one-shotsā like Genji.

Nah, itās not fun to be chased by a reaper and a pharah while my tank is fighting for his life to defend the objective.
I prefer 5V5, but Supports are too easy to kill now, and thereās nothing we can do to avoid this problem
