Personally I would add a second core competitive mode in witch you built and submitted a 6-12 person roster at least 1-2 weeks before the season and could only play the mode as a 6 stack comprised of players from this team.
This solves every common issue I see people talking about in terms of throwers, 1 tricks, comp RNG (aka getting random qued into a game with 5 healer mains), and would be a totally optional game mode.
Players would have to play at least 10 games to get end of season rewards, as well as at least a certain % of games.
This sounds really cool, but fixes literally none of the problems I have with this game. Not everyone has the freedom to play this way. As someone who can’t play on a schedule, normal comp would have an even higher percentage of throwers, smurfs, and horrible teamwork.
Allow only people that plays to win and keep that mindset until the end of the game. People give up trying so fast it s crazy. So i guess it kinda goes into your “people attitude toward comp” category.

Prevent one-tricks of the same hero from being on the same team.
Not as an opt-in or with avoid. Just flat out, for everyone.
Would not be hard to implement either.
