why are you typing like that. that’s weird.
overwatch is indeed a game with its own esports scene. that is correct. it was also created in 2016, and was created after a failed project. i can list other random facts abt overwatch that have nothing to do with the discussion if that’s what we’re doing here.
i do not care if overwatch is competitive or not, people who play this game have the right to talk about balance changes to that game, period. you do not have to play competitive to talk about balance changes because guess what?
balance changes affect the entire game, not just competitive.
like i’m trying very hard to not be rude here but y’all cannot be serious. there is an entire section of this forum dedicated to competitive discussion, if you’re so desperate for that sort of discourse go there.

Idk man probably people who complained that their threads were flagged “by the Mercy mains” trying to get revenge? Who is to say.

I would to play her in deathmatch, but it’s not possible anymore … ! No active skill, the weakest weapon and abilities of the game, and in the end, the weakest char of the entire game !
So what ? … All Mercy main are asking for a full rework for years to make her more offensive and less defensless …
Blizzard don’t care !

Does she not regenerate HP passively anymore?
I tested it out in the practice range and it still worked for me
I liked the thread only because you were in here crying about it.

Mercy haters report Octo… they just want to censor the people.

Feedback yes… but if they will decide to do any change we will probably have to wait till mid-season pass
Their wording on the patch notes is confusing.
She has the support passive. Her old regerative, hero-specific passive was healing more passively on top of that. The latter is what was removed and reworked into Sympathetic Healing. The former (the support passive) is still in effect.

I’m glad the haters couldn’t censor me

It was an interesting flag for sure. Whether it’s threads that are pro- Mercy or anti- Mercy some people do like clicking that little button a lot, and I really don’t understand why.
ppl hate some stuff that they disagree with.
other need to make their self value feel betetr by flagging and gettign a kick out of it.
gonna chime in here:
OW1 Mercy self heal: 20 hps
OW2 Mercy: 15 hp/s + 50% bonus = 22.5
mercy only got 2.5 hp/s buff over what her OW1 passive

That’s the support passive. Remember her old passive stacked with that.
So it’s the support passive.
But the constant regen is gone from Valk without nary a word.
Yeah. Her passive didn’t heal that much more in OW2. It just seems silly to remove that.
It’s yet another, “I can’t do anything without my team” aspect of Mercy. Now her self-healing is tied to having a teammate to heal.

just wait…in future “mercy can only use gun if ally is by her” might as wlel make her literally useless w/o teammate by her.

you cannot be serious rn lmfao. Why do you like damage boost so much? mechanically it is exactly the same as her healing so you’re not missing anything if its removed, and I don’t want mercy to be nerfed. I want her to be buffed, I want whatever the new thing is to be better and more fun for her players, that doesn’t encourage the most boring and skilless playstyle of any hero in the game

‘‘Damage boost is not the problem’’ does not mean ‘‘Damage boost is my precious golden bull that should not be touched ever’’.
I dont even play Mercy that often. Last time I played her was early on the OW2.
I am just stating facts. DB is mediocre if not a very bad filler ability outside 2 very specific instances: pre-nerf Ashe’s headshot, and Sojourn post-nerf railgun headshot.
Nerfing/removing it doesnt fix anything. Sojourn will remain overpowered and an issue, and her abusers will just switch to Zenyatta to get their oneshots.
Just like every other instance of this kind of discussion, DB is not ‘‘holding Mercy back’’. Its a very mediocre ability outside making those 190~ damage headshots that only 1 hero has into oneshots.
All that a rework centered around blaming Mercy/DB for Sojourn being overpowered is going to do is make her worse and clunkier. Every single time they focus on extraneous misinformation nonsense for a rework, it ends badly.
If they changed DB with actually good intentions and not because of a ridiculous witch hunt with people claiming nonsense like ‘‘DB makes everyone OP!!! nerf!!!’’.
And no, Mercy/DB are not ‘‘holding Blizz back from designing heroes’’. There has never been a need for either Sojourn or Ashe to exist, much less in their intentionally broken states with powerful kits as long range hitscans that get a pass because of ‘‘almost’’ oneshots.

When they nerf the easiest support too play… of coarse the majority of the community is angry. That’s the only character they can play or have spent 6 years playing.
Time to learn something new.

people do not like damage boost. They don’t. Its very clear that they don’t, if you think their reasonings arent good enough that’s too bad because they don’t. they want it changed. It’s unhealthy for the game and makes mercy incredibly boring. They should change it

I recall running numbers on that and not finding any breakpoint where 27hp really mattered at all. The magical breakpoint for Genji is 30. 27/28/29 are kind of all the same. You’ll still generally play the same as Genji.
These changes were obviously more a very minor rework, but enough spice to certainly be more disruptive than 2dmg.
