Comp is different, way different, and if a low ranking playing is trying to give an opinion of a hero, nahhh. They don’t understand how the game is actually played.
Because they are keeping the game alive. Casual and midcore players are the life blood of the game.
OW1 died because it alienated their playerbase as they increasingly balanced around t500/OWL.

I actually did somes QP and Comp … She’s dead … She’s litteraly a pigeon ready to get killed on side … 3 comps, 3 winstons … From plat/diamond, Mercy is dead ! Definitively !
Then they can make balance changes for QP and revert the changes for comp.

Mind you, those changes are not good for QP. QP players love Mercy and the QP Mercy haters are generally wannabe sweaties.

this game has other modes for a reason. this is an absolutely toxic and abysmal take and you should really re-evaluate your own perspective on what kind of game overwatch is if this is how you genuinely feel. this is one of the most childish opinions i’ve ever seen on this game. ever.
it’s not even like OP is making competitive balance suggestions. they’re just asking about the GA nerf. do you think balance changes only affect competitve? you desperately need to grow up if that’s the case.

Suppressing threads by abusing the flagging won’t change the fact that literally all Mercy players think the character has been destroyed by the GA cd change.

Exactly, these changes for Mercy are absolutely terrible!
She was fine as is but, someone talking about or trying to engage people to remove DB & Rez is no for me.
I can make points how Mercy is countered and can be countered easily especially in QP but clearly it seems a QP opinion is valued more than opinions where people can play the game at a higher skill tier.
OW is a competitive game … It was designed on that way … And if it has its own league with an e-sport scene, thats maybe because it’s a competitive game …

Its not a QP opinion. Mercy is staple support casual pick that stabilizes queue times for them.
Most Mercy haters are comp try hards that rather blame Mercy than to accept Sojourn is OP or their own mistakes, often both.

Feels more like an elephant on 3 legs with the ga change, I’d take a dog on 3 legs at least they’d feel lightweight.
Having 1800 hours played with Mercy (top 500 for the 6 first season, actually diamond in playing casualy)… (2300h played in total) I can tell … This patch is the worse we never had until now !
It’s a real disaster and the best way to kill her once and for all !

they can not only do it, but they WILL do if she stays meta. she will get another nerf, maybe too her ultimate, maybe to her healing (making it 35 hps base, with a larger bonus on low hp targets) who knows.
but this is something they have done systematically for years.
anytime a hero is popular and problematic in a rank they’ll nerf everything but the problem. just look at sojourn, they nerfed everything but her rails ability to 1 tap with dmg boost (and they buffed it overall). genji’s blade has always been the tipping point for the hero, so instead of nerfing nano-blade they nerf his core dmg.
so if we agree that dmg boost is the reason mercy was even being used right now, then that means they’ll nerf everything but dmg boost.
proof?: this patch did exactly that
this is how a hero goes from meta to dumpster overnight. they apply to many nerfs to the wrong aspects of the kit to try and solve the pickrate/winrate problem they think the hero has.

It’s very annoying when the entire forum is full of the same posts over and over again. It’s been like this for heroes other than mercy as well. It’s boring.
