I miss this game. I miss Mercy

Again was a bug. It was never intentional. Yes it eventually became part of her kit-but it was never planned.

And who said I don’t like either of those? I like them actually, configured my keys so I can pulls off Super Jump with more ease. They make the flight in Valk feeling superfluous to me because there’s no real “skill” to use it.

Did you play the original Mercy that much or only a little from time to time?

It will be interesting to see if the non-reduced speed bug for rezing while in Valkyrie makes it into the live game

I’m betting it wont, but I know a lot of unhappy players will be happy to see it make it to live

I played her a bit, mainly because I wasn’t that good at Ana (this was before Moira). I found GA fun but not Mass Rez. If my team was in trouble, the only thing I could do was hope I didn’t die so I could rez them. This lead to me tempo rezzing a lot despite most Mercy mains telling me I was wrong for using it like that and not wait for 3-5 man rezzes.

I can agree to this. It gives a minor improvement to Rez in Valk, allowing her to dodge.

However-once again it would be another unintentional bug that aids Mercy rather than an intended implement.

I’m not saying they’re even bad, just pointing out that all the good things that have been coming from the rework have all been unintentional.

You can’t predict future, your teammate die to ult not complicated at all and you can’t delay when to rez because they will respawn so the time to use is fixed, the main skill is to staying alive which the same of the of E rez minus cast time.

Not entirely true considering you are interacting with your teammate while damage ult interacting with enemy.

I find Mercy to be much more fun now than she was before the rework.

I don’t think you understand what I said.

When you Mass-Ressed, your allies stood still for a short while(invulnerable, but still), in that time enemies could line-up shots, missles, grenades, ULTS. If the Mercy used Ress and they had a RIP-Tire, a D.Va Bomb, or even a good Widow your Ress was wasted, because you’d still lose the fight, but now you lost your ult too.

It did involve thought and planning. Specially pre-invul where you could die after using it.

Nice at least you have some first hand experience. Some of the people I talk to haven’t even played Mercy 1.0 and automatically start hating her because of the bandwagon. I no lifeeeeed the crap out of her and played her all the time, at least if she didn’t seem like a bad pick. Since the beta I grew to love the playstyle.

Even when they reworked her I thought it was great for like the first month. She was super overpowered initially and they hadn’t nerfed her yet so I enjoyed that lol. Blizzard had never really done anything wrong to me either so I just trusted they knew what they were doing. But I did eventually grow to hate the rework over a long period of time which should at least give me some credibility to being open about change. It wasn’t like an initial rejection “Where is my big stronk rez?! Bah!”.

at least put her variations in custom games… why does it have to be like this …

How many times have they said Mercy is fine and they’ve continued to directly or indirectly nerf her?

If the enemy have ult to counter your rez then you can’t do anything to stop this, if you didn’t rez soul will go and your teammate will respawn so there isn’t too much thought since you can’t do anything.

Wha-…I don’t understand what you are trying to say.

I would certainly be all for a revert. Specifically Mass Rez + The tweaks.

In the very least there’s the PTR change to look forward to, that is of course assuming that it isn’t just a bug that ends up being patched. Here’s hoping anyways.

I never played Overwatch during the mass rez time (was around September 2017 for me), but if it did come back, I’d add LoS to it, since rezzing behind walls was a bit too strong and sounds annoying (as a Mercy player myself) and led to easy POTGs and invincibility can go I think, so it has counterplay (no cast time, since it would be too easy and predictable for enemies, plus annoying for allies and the Mercy having an ult with cast time, reset back to 0% after failing).

Agreed. I had my own idea of a rework that incorporated just that. Among other things. But yes, I think some counter-play on the ability would be lovely addition.

Same.

OH! playing Mercy. Yeah, sure I guess.

Then don’t play mercy 2.0 if you don’t like her that much? the game has 29 heroes and you only choosing to play one is a waste, for example after the d.va and armor changes i’ve been staying away from the tanks but i still have others to play.

Just annoyed a bit of the toxicity a bit on the forums, plus in-game between players about skill, no skill etc.

I couldn’t careless, just as long as you’re helping the team and enjoying yourself, that’s all that matters to me.

Just had to bring it up off-topic, since there’s too much toxicity recently, plus the recent thing about Brigitte’s voice actor, felt bad for her; disgusting how the community has become (ever since Overwatch League, I’ve noticed more of this; everyone of my games were people having fun, whereas now, it’s uneasy at times with toxicity and all).

Back on track though, I’m looking forward to Baptiste, since his gun is like Soldier: 76, has his crouch and jump passive and other abilities are pretty good and I may have a second healer main to practice and learn now, alongside Mercy (I like Orisa and Zarya for my tanks and Soldier: 76 and Junkrat for damage).

After the disastrous raid breaking Blizzard’s code of conduct, I don’t understand how the reworkmercy movement thinks they’re going to create any real change as they continue to spam the forums and break the CoC rules. Please don’t spam.
