Okay. But I’ve guessed more gameplay changes than the rest of the community combined for Overwatch, ditto for PlanetSide 1, and probably got some changes into HellDivers 2, and DarkTide.
I also wrote a TRIBES 1 mod back in the day which had 40 servers running it, about 3 years of tournament play between 20 teams.
I also spent the last 2 years on Twitter interacting with every Games Journalist, Game Dev, and Community Manager I could manage.
Confirmation bias. You want to think you’re an expert. You write so much that every once in a while an idea you have slips through. You only save the links to your correct predictions.
Again, you sound like an average plat player giving their opinions. They aren’t bad opinions, but that’s the context of them.
You don’t actually know what confirmation bias means, do you? You have over 75,000 posts on this forum. Throw enough at the wall, eventually a small number of ideas get through.
I’ll hand it to you though, you have some good ideas on things like mastery challenges, etc. Balance changes though, are pretty average for a mid-ranked player.
And I’m saying more in sheer volume doesn’t mean anything if the percent of things you say correct is lower. Throwing as much as you can against the wall and hoping an occasional good idea comes through doesn’t make a person someone to listen to.
Not at all. I’m saying you’ve made 76,000 posts here alone. The chances of you finding a few dozen that show correct predictions is high. You’ve made exponentially more bad predictions than good, but you aren’t going to remember those, because of confirmation bias.
So your standard of evidence, is that unless I have literal physchic powers, then some guy who hasn’t ever studied gamedev in their life, knows more then me about gamedev, purely because they “click head gud” better than me?
