You don’t have a good track record. Any average high ranked player has better opinions. With respect, you think you’re more knowledgeable than you are.
Double shield was only as bad as people made it out to be… there were too many players who simply refused to break shields because “I shouldn’t have to do that, it’s boring”… and stubbornly made life harder on themselves.
It’s like… what’s next…? You want to just queue for a match and get an instant dub? “I shouldn’t have to try at all, that’s boring”
With respect, most of your opinions sound like those of someone who has never played above diamond. Analysis on paper is not a substitute for experience. Honest advice, if you’re going to try and do design work without being higher ranked yourself, you need to listen to people who are actually higher ranked. Finding those key experts you can listen to is important.
I’m a technology architect. I’ve been in software design for a long time. The first thing you need to do is find who the SMEs are, and find out how to get your ideas to them frequently to get feedback. Developers are the expert on how to do something, not on what needs to be done.
I’ve worked with a lot of developers who think they are the experts on what needs to be done. That’s always a mistake.
It feels like you’re “shooting nothing” because all the tanks were giga-buffed in OW2, to make solo-tanking (5v5 role-Q) less fruatrating.
But in 6v6 the tanks would get nerfed/balanced, for examples: lower overall health/armor less shield health (Rein, Sig, etc.) slower shield HP regeneration shorter defense matrix duration (Dva) slower defense matrix regeneration etc.
We have footage of Rein with a full shield, and a Zarya bubble peaking around a corner for less than one second, and instantly dying to incoming damage. It wasn’t a problem.
My friend, I’ve been on these forums for years. This isn’t the first time I’ve read what you write. You sound like any number of mid ranked/casual players. You just write more than most.
I disagree with your opinions. Nothing wrong with that. We can agree to disagree.
To repeat, your opinions are not facts, no matter how long of a novel you write on reddit.
I don’t care about credibility. I’m treating your opinions for what they are: the opinions of another casual QP/Plat player (and they ARE very valid opinions from that point of view)
