Hanzo Has Been Nerfed To The Ground

No, it’s incoherent gibberish, that goes into no level of detail.

From somebody who has probably never worked as a Gameplay Designer, on a game of any level of significance.

Nah it’s pretty basic common terms in game design.

You calling it gibberish only proves you haven’t actually studied game design.

From the simple fact you think it’s generated by chat gpt according wouldn’t that mean by common sense that it’s common game design principle.

See common sense :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Says who?

You’re using comparitive terms, but not actually comparing anything.

Everyone dude this is like saying find the guy who said grass is green color everyone can see it, it’s so basic there is no founder, it’s not something secret algorithm common sense.

It was not a quote to sell books like that rts guy yapper.

Uh huh

Very contributive post for an argument, at least offer a counter-change to his changes instead of rambling words of non-sense in a comment that isn’t constructive.

It would be much more beneficial to even say, a simple “no”, than that.

All you have done is again derail as usual cause you can’t actually discuss the game topic at hand despite being the so called game design student, all you have ia bad quotes from irrelevant 69 yr old boomers from a different genre and want people to battle on who said what nonsense.

Your whole topic drift totally irrelevant to this thread or what I was talking about.

See that’s the difference between you and me , I don’t look to win arguments by whatever means , I just discuss that’s why I’m solid while you have to scurry around looking for loop holes to exploit and derail topics and fail at that too.

You do accomplish one thing, derail threads to totally irrelevant stuff.

I’m bored

So referencing exactly how a character does not follow game design principles, is something that you think is the wrong way to discuss how a videogame character should be designed?

Only people who have never played video games would think a archer oneshotting in a shooter game is broken.

I’m not going to stop you from wasting your valuable time replying to this ChatGPT bot but he actually has not played ow2 and if he has his playtime is absolutely miniscule.

Having this in the back of your mind makes conversations with him 50x funnier.

Widow actually takes skill while as a hanzo player you can simply one shot some random from the other side of the battlefield. I see it happening everytime. You see more good- I mean, lucky hanzo players than widow ones. Hell, I picked him the other day and did pretty well. If widow gets nerfs everytime then hanzo deserves it as well.

Most people hate him cause his arrows feel like they’re logs. Sometimes you even see them 1 ft away from you but somehow they still curve towards your head.

If 2-3 Soldier bullets at long range killed a Hanzo, I’d be fine with that

If players were downed, and everybody could rez. Perfectly fine.

Or Hanzo was basically 90% chance of dying in any close range 1v1. All good.

Overwatch doesn’t have universal counterplay to Snipers, like every other modern FPS does.

It’s gonna suck but this patch is interesting enough to actually make me come back to Overwatch.

Also, I think there is going to be a massive emphasis on poke builds in season 9, which Hanzo does traditionally well in. Add in a Mercy to retain the 1-shot + the much bigger projectile sizes.

I nearly want to say Hanzo will actually be meta, nearly like pre-nerf Ashe. Insane with a Mercy but very mediocre outside of that.

The more I think about it, the more I get the feeling people with hate Hanzo even more in season 9 if Mercy is meta.

The important thing is, it won’t be hanzo with one shot anymore :stuck_out_tongue:

Also good to know you don’t require expensive bait lol

nobody cares lol, your character is still doo dooed on by any hitscan lmao

another wierdo to ignore for 1000 years… lol

Damn that instant reply. You spend a lot of time on the overwatch forums?

Edit: Also, then you understand why this nerf is a good thing. Pharah has a ton of counterplay specifically (albeit incidentally) against her playstyle. Pharah’s a bee while Hanzo is a bloody roach if the roach could hock lumber at you from across the house and blind you.

sorry, good riddance

why do you want battle royale and mil sim stuff in a game were there is infinite respawn.
Not that im against knockdowns in overwatch will be funny seeing reinhardt crawl on the ground while others dont help him, pretty much how it is now :joy:

At long range hanzo is unreliable for most part, soldier is also a sponge shooter, both are equally balanced at mid range were they are both good if anything soldier is better.

Why should he that is dumb not even widow or zen have such bad off in a cqc.

See this is your rts nonsense seeping in, this is not a turn based games, this is a action hero shooter, there will always be something some hero could do.

Also hanzo is strong when you push him and weak when you avoid him.

Its not even actual strong, but a fear based one that he can one shot you, which can be easily negated if you are good.

Which is why good tracer mains dont have issue pushing hanzo.

Also the odds of hanzo doing cqc one shot with first shot accuracy is very less to justify him losing it.

Is his storm op ya, i think i have always agreed on this and its the one part of his kit that can be nerfed and would make the most sense to reduce to three arrows.

Apart from that he is totally fair hero balance wise and fullfills popular identity tropes in shooters.

There are many reasons it feels like this

  1. Hitboxes of every character is massive
  2. Lag compensation and ping
  3. Hanzo’s arrow hitbox is amongst the smallest in the game

watching it in the replay is worse bc the replay in overwatch is so cooked and worse than CSGO’s replay

Genji stars don’t oneshot…? Are you just pretending like that distinction doesn’t exist?
