Hanzo arrows hitboxes?

does anybody else thinks hanzo arrows are so strange ???

you watch the replay and see the crosshair is not even on you?? and the arrow still hit you??

or if you see your dead body and the arrow is stuck in the air somewhere .5 feet next to your acutal body??

and stormarrows needs to go or reduce the damage

thats why i always say hanzo needs no aim
he can shot somewhere and the arrow can still hit you

I feel also hanzo arrows make curve, because even moving quickly, sometimes i took a hit that usually isn’t to take that hit. because i’m moving faster as i can.

Just checking, you do know how projectiles work, right?

OW hitboxes are much larger than the characters themselves. You can see the same effect with even hitscan weapons, which have a volume of zero.

Hanzo’s arrows are actually fairly small as far as projectiles go.

Yeah there;s a workshop code around here somewhere. It’s been proven that Hanzo’s projectile hitbox is almost double of every else’s.

The proectile hitbox is literally a large sphere. It is still active today in OW2.

I got a good chuckle from this.

Projectile heroes need to lead their shots. Their bullets have travel time. Their crosshair is never usually going to be on you.

To make up for the fact projectiles have to be predicted, usually projectiles have forgiving hitboxes to make up for the fact they arent precise. Im sorry you got dinked by a hanzo, however that isn’t the hanzo’s issue.

Got to love when the devs literally prove you are wrong.

I’ve always felt like his hitbox is like the size of a house, i mean if i’m not wrong i think his arrows even bounces of walls and can hit you or something??

And his spam arrows doesn’t even help, having them being the size of a house and he can even spam them??

He honestly needs a nerf.

Small projectile, huge projectile hitbox. Please try to troll someone else…

Easy block

his arrows have always been mostly luck

well ofc it doesnt need to be on you when the arrow hits. hanzo shoots projectiles. heroes that hit you when their crosshair is on you are called hitscan (like widow, soldier, ashe etc. they dont technically shoot bullets but lasers that check if you are on the target and then grant you a hit. in csgo, this is how all weapons work. in games like unreal tournament or overwatch, some weapons shoot projectiles.

with projectile heroes, the projectile flies where the crosshair was pointed when you press the shooting button. the projectile has a certain size to it. and if that size overlaps with your hitbox in any way, a hit is registered. both the hitbox of the arrow and the heroes is not perfectly as big as the actual models of both objects. its like a capsule around the objects/heroes. that means, even if a hanzo arrow doesnt technically really hit a model, it can still hit a hero hitbox with its hitbox.

Lol it that some sort of conspiracy theory?

It is pretty obvious geoff was talking about the hitbox size not just the visual appearance, as that would literally be silly.

if protectile and hitscan differents …

why not make his arrows hitscan??

Because he would be OPAF, by far the strongest hero in the game.

have your second report and email

what are you talking
and to who XDD

Replays are at best approximations of what happened don’t rely on them too much

Do even read what you said before posting? Projectile size != hitbox size. Projectile size is boundbox of 3d mesh. Projectile Hitbox size is physics/collision radius of that projectile.

not only that they even stated projectile heros have bigger hitboxes then hitscans due to projectile speeds

I’m muting this thread

Such a silly comment, this is a quote from the devs in a thread about Hanzo’s hitbox size being too large. With the dev literally stating they are the smallest in the game.
