This is a panic announcement to try to drum up interest in OW and I doubt they know yet exactly what will be in Spotlight - what they can pull forward from future seasons to release sooner to make things look better than they would with the previous timetable.
Hehe, gives me the impression they canât get the signup numbers they want and are going around begging the old CCs for OW to come back and join this event. Most of them donât play OW at all any more.
Also strange they are announcing major gameplay changes but havenât yet let the CCs try them out to make sure they pass muster. Sounds like a recipe for disaster if only the devs have played with the changes. Their record isnât great (flash, clash, push, âŚ).

I mean, hero bans would certainly be the easiest way to shake it up the most. The lowest hanging fruit if we donât count 6v6 (besides, proper 6v6 is not easy at all - it requires a complete rebalance if done properly - though of course, even if they go for 6v6, they wonât bother to do it right⌠as usual)
Yeah,this is gonna be an issue. They refunded Owl Guardian Mercy when it was in a similar situation. They still have time to pick another skin for the drop.

Well⌠how about TRY at least to get us hyped for SOMETHING? 3 heroes and 3 maps a year does not cut it anymore and âgroundbreaking gameplay changesâ should better start with reworking Ana and Widow.
