Yeah cause hes broken af
He isn’t overpowered, it’s objective. He’s been balanced, he’s had counters. Just because you don’t insta kill him doesn’t mean he isn’t balanced.
Edit: and actually, bias IS relevant. I play Genji, but I basically main tank in competitive and OD / Scrimmages. Zarya, in fact. Any competent team can focus a Genji down. But if you ONLY play who he is made to counter, you obviously will have experience bias.
He isn’t.
Sadly.
People play poorly and ruin objectively balanced heroes, and we have to deal with it.
Poor Roadhog and Doomfist.
Hardest hero to hit after tracer, “very easily killed” ok brah.
“Hard to hit” is subjective. I find him easy to hit as McCree, Tracer, Soldier, etc… .
One might find Pharah to be the most difficult, others might find Moira to be difficult.
It’s subjective.
If you can hit him in his very predictable jump arcs I don’t know what to tell you.
He’s so easy to hit at the peak of his jump, it’s just harder to crit. But people pretend as though it’s impossible to land any shots.
Lol…oh wait youre serious.
Him or new McCree. Maybe D.va.
Your main by far is also Genji.
Could be some subjective bias going on there too.
Fair, but don’t play him too much anymore. You’ll notice those are primarily in quick play as well, as I prefer tanking in competitive. I have a strong amount on his counters as well, though.
But yeah, still true, I do have 100+ hours on him, so I can see where the bias argument comes in.
The biggest issue with Genji/Tracer right now is when every other DPS has been nerfed this much you do end up being overpowered by comparison. I think mobility needs adjusting more than anything. Hyper-mobile characters need to be punishable for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Since CC has needed so many nerfs, then actual mobility maybe needs some changes.
U GOTTA love when mercy mains tell you how good dragonblade is XD Try using it! Tell me more about how infinite your mobility is with ur 3 second CD GA. Youre one of those people whos never even built a dragonblade and exclaim “OP!”
80% of the Anas in this game don’t even prioritize using nano on their Genji with ulti up.
It doesn’t matter which hero you are talking about, people on the forums just love to state that they are balanced like it’s an accepted fact. Doomfist, or Brig, Tracer, or Genji… the fact that so many people complain means that at the very least it is a question as to whether or not they are balanced.
You don’t get to dismiss every criticism by asserting they are balanced without presenting any argument that they are.
I use objective evidence. Statistics and whatnot.
Brigitte held a 56% winrate- I considered her OP.
Genji holds, and almost always has had, a 50% winrate. I think he is fine.
If many people complain, you need to look at who they play. It’s literally almost always supports mains that witch-hunt Genji and Tracer. Their hard counters, you know?
I haven’t gotten around to making a full post, as I’ve been busy.
Winston?
Tracer blinks are also predictable. Makes no difference. 10/10 would still rather fight a non-djumping hero, and genji’s agree, because they keep doing it.
Your bias is showing.
Tracer’s blink is very different. That’s a teleport, you have to hope she will teleport that direction and react before the teleport again.
Genji’s jump is literally a slow arc, where he’s easy to hit and vulnerable. It’s predictable and easy to hit, you know where he’ll land, when he’ll start falling, where to hook…
It’s really simple.
