I’m very excited. Let’s nerf this balanced hero because he counters you- I’m ready!

Edit: When I get home (or if I’m bored in my study block), I’ll be making an actual post regarding Genji’s state and the bias against him. Feel free to ignore this.

I wouldn´t say that. He is just a victim of the actual ubiquitousness of ana. And nanoblade is just such a strong ultcombo, which causes a lot of hate…

Annoying doesn’t mean OP. He is objectively balanced, stats are stats. Brigitte would have been OP with her 56% winrate.

Genji? He isn’t meta, balanced pick and winrate. Hasn’t even been meta in, what, half a year? More?

It’s okay. I’ll be addressing all this stuff relatively soon.

DISCLAIMER: Brick doesn’t play comp and isn’t insisting that the following is truth, it is merely his opinion.

I always thought Genji was a case of “no no his kit is fine, I know what you’re saying is technically correct, but how many people are actually going to be able to pull that off?” And now more and more people are able to “pull that off”.

I do not think he is in need of nerfs, however, given how his biggest counters eat nerfs, because somehow it feels like he isn’t allowed to have strong counters, Symmetra being way less efficient at shutting him down, Brigitte nerfed, Doomfist nerfed…
If they can’t be strong against him(and yes, as a consequence, strong against others), then I believe he indeed needs to get tuned down.

Not really, though. His kit is based around his ultimate, really. His DPS is low, he is meant to finish off players and supports.

The things that he can do that are potentially broken are like, what, 3 crit + swift and one hit a squishy? Even the best of the best can hardly pull that one off.

I whole heartedly think he is fine. People argue off of what he is technically capable of doing, just like you said- but it’s still very rare. I realize I’m literally saying what you said but :man_shrugging:t4:

You can argue potential and make anybody sound overpowered

I’d agree with that. I cant say with any confidence that I believe he needs a nerf. I DO think he’s technically capable of amazing feats like we agreed, and I do think the number of people that can do them is increasing, but we arent being flooded by ninja masters by any means lol.

Agree on the ult thing too… in QP… you hear that call and you know you just lost the point lol. In comp im sure it’s different, in QP, theres no coordination and THE DRAGON RUNS FREE lol

1/2 agree there. I think Genji’s potential is higher than most :slight_smile:

That’s where’s I play him the most, I mainly tank in comp nowadays. But in QP, Genji and Doomfist can run uncontested since nobody bothers to focus them :joy:
