Ehhhhh not so sure I agree with that one. There isn’t any evidence that proves that the devs are not doing Mass Ressurection ever again. The statement was “We have no plans to revert Mercy, so let’s put that argument to rest.”
Essentially they are confirming that they aren’t planning to revert, not that they aren’t ever going to revert Mercy ever. These are two very different implications.
Her playstyle was certainly the most engaging in 1.0 in my opinion. So I don’t share the same views as the rest of those who like how 2.0Mercy plays. I think the slow while ressing during Valk is clunky and slow for what it is (should be a mass res) and I think that the res as an E move and her Ult are both pathetically unrewarding in practice.
If it was up to me, the only thing I would keep from Mercy 2.0 is flight, bunny hop, and the checks that come with the ressing (maybe the chain heals during ult as well, since it’s hardly going to make a difference anyway). Other than that the Mass res as an ultimate and something else as an E move would be the best solution in my opinion.

Mercy? Now I am a Brigitte main ‘-’
they should make her impossible to hit again but only give her 150 hp
All I said was that she is balanced now. She’s arguably better than before the rework so people would rather play a worse hero who is in some players’ opinions more fun?

Just going to leave this here.
All Mercy haters, learn something: we are not saying she is not viable. We are not saying she is dead. Our concern is that she feels really boring to play.
‘‘Then just play something else’’ I’m sorry, but I spent at least 100 hours in a hero that was actually fun, not this ruined design that Mercy 2.0 is. She currently has an ultimate in her E that feels too punishing to use, and an E in her ultimate, because Valkyrie does nothing to help Mercy’s teammates, besides the chained beams. Considering this is a support ult, this is horrible, most times teammates die with Valkyrie activated.
Every other support has an ultimate that actually saves the team, that can make difference, that the support can shine (I would say Ana is a questionable topic tho). Except Mercy. We’ve seen with OWL that the times a Mercy ulted, she would actually lose more often than when she didn’t.
‘‘But Huge Rez was unhealthy’’ and you really think currently res is fine? You don’t obtain it. There is no skill in it. And Blizzard just went straight with the rework, while huge rez could be changed in the way it was performed. A cast time, or even LOS, would be perfectly fair. And still fun.
Mercy is messed up. And she feels horrible to use. She is not the hero we felt in love with. The hero that would actually save the day.

Mercy is still awesome. Being a tank lately has been mighty frustrating because now everyone picks Moira to murder things and shoot healing orbs into the skybox. Another cry worthy situation is when you’re super low on health and you see Ana just whizzing the healing darts by your head.
I appreciate supports, but most of ya’ll should really stay Mercy mains lol
It’s kind of difficult to “stay” a Mercy main when Blizzard ensures that playing the hero lacks heavily in the “worth staying” department with her current state.
If I’m to exclusively play Mercy, I need her to be engaging again, or at least rewarding to play, and right now, she fails horribly in that regard.

She’s less fun because there’s literally no variety. Valkyrie is just the same as the normal hero except…get ready;
You can fly and don’t have to reload!
Wow! So different and fun! So much to do! Flying amirite?
There is no variety in how you play Mercy anymore. It’s just “sit and heal. rez when it’s up. sit and heal. get ult. press button. fly and sit and heal.”
That’s why she’s “unfun” now. You’re just a healbot.

The only thing satisfying to Mercy players seems to be rezzing a lot of teammates without any downsides. This is an “absurd power level”. So unfortunately the only thing that Mercy seems to be “satisfying to play” is having an “absurd power level”. Pick one.
Yeah, how about no. Mercy has had a huge fan base since launch, and that was when rez was “with downsides.” People have given plenty of suggestions to allow a return of mass rez while giving it more (because it did exist before) counterplay. And if it was SOOOOO powerful, she would have been a must-pick, no? But she wasn’t until the rework. Go figure.
Also, you and other people in this thread really need to take time to read the comments that have been stated so many times for why Mercy is no longer fun as a whole, despite her fun base kit (outside of turtle rez).

Just going to drop this here.
Wrong. This is the same issue with Sombra/Hanzo. Everyone hates scatter shot, but is Hanzo a must pick? Everyone hates hack, is Sombra a must pick?
You said it had an “absurd power level,” so that makes what you said FALSE.
OK if you are right about Mercy mains not wanting to be absurdly powerful, let me know of a change to Mercy that would make her less strong but more fun to play. I’ll wait.
mercys old rez was powerful, but not everyone had her on a team, and you didnt always lose if you didnt have her. like ^ said, people hate hack, why dont they go sombra? isnt she soooo powerful?!?!

There are like five mega threads. Be my guest. Make some tea and have fun with some light reading.

What you are saying makes literally zero sense, sorry. Can’t follow what you’re saying in terms of this conversation.
being powerful doesnt mean instant win, if a hero was strong why doesnt EVERYONE play them, how simple can it get?
People do play strong heroes though, especially if they play the meta. Mercy was a must-pick because she was extremely OP. But she wasn’t OP before the rework. Once again, I really don’t understand the point you are trying to make here, especially in relation to the post I initially responded to.
