Everytime I start the game I only get a black screen and my computer freezes

I just got the game as a gift and I cannot seem to get it to work. I have tried the following:

  1. Updating video drivers
  2. Uninstalling Razer (seen conflicts in other forums about this)
  3. Updated everything else
  4. Change resolution and refresh rate
  5. Tried nvidia force resolution but I cant force it since the game wont start

Here are the only system admin events i think are related:

This is exactly what happens. If i start the game, the screen will flash once or twice, and then it freezes. If I immediately use Task Manager, I end up getting the sound to work while the game is minimized. When i click on the game icon, I can get it to play for a second before it turns black, i get a windows error i cannot see and the computer freezes.

Any help?

This error sometimes happens when a driver is incompatible with a Windows update. Did you update mouse or keyboard drivers recently? It might also be related to the Razer stuff (sometimes they have residual files that can still cause issues).

This AI Suite might be trying to apply an overlay, do you have a way to disable it?

Just updated the Razer and Logitech drivers to see if they are a problem. No dice. I cannot seem to find an update for AI Suite. Should I uninstall it?

Often times with the Razer issue the app ends up getting removed but the Chroma SDK remains. When removing the Razer software, make sure we’re uninstalling Razer Chroma SDK Core Components specifically. If you do that and there’s still issues, make sure that these files are no longer on the computer:
C:\Windows\System32\RzChromaSDK64.dll
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\RzChromaSDK.dll
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\RzAPIChromaSDK.dll

Removed all three DLL’s and still cannot play the game. Should i remove Razer snyapse and logitech as well?

We will want to make sure the Razer software has been removed. If you’re still having issues then I’d suggest putting in a ticket here so we can take a look over it with you.
