- Ana - Pharah’s mommy and founding OW member.
- Ashe - Leader of the Deadlock Gang, a criminal band of Outlaws focused on pulling off heists in the American southwest
- Baptiste - Originally an orphan from the Omnic Crisis, he became a Talon operative for a time, until a string of events led him to be the combat medic we know today
- Bastion - He was gravely injured in the attack on Stuttgart and became dormant for a period of time in the surrounding forest. Now awoken, he explores nature alongside his companion Ganymede, looking for a purpose
- Brigitte - Daughter of Torbjorn and Squire to Reinhardt. A grease monkey, gymrat, and all around tinkerer
- D.va - A former professional esports gamer who now defends her homeland of South Korea from the Gwishin omnics.
- Doomfist - Broke out of prison, and with the power of his gauntlet, he believes plunging the world into chaos and conflict will make humanity grow stronger
- Echo - The last creation from Dr. Liao who helped create the Omnics. Echo was her promise to right her wrongs and save the world. Echo is highly adaptable and always learning from her surroundings
- Genji - A son of the Shimada empire and was a carefree playboy. Not wanting to partake in the family’s affairs, he was confronted and brought to near-death by his brother Hanzo. He was saved thanks to Mercy and now resides in a robotic body and has forgiven his brother
- Hanzo - Eldest son and heir to Shimada empire, he was pushed to kill his brother Genji for not taking part in the family or his title. Because of this, he abandoned the sword and now only uses bows, and he abandoned his family’s empire. This was considered betrayal and now assassins are regularly sent to find him
- Junkrat - An explosive obsessed freak who’s gone on a crime spree with his partner Roadhog. May or may not have an extremely valuable treasure somewhere
- Lucio - An international musician who inspires social change through his music. Has big beef with Symmetra because he thinks Vishkar used and brainwashed his father
- McCree - Original member of Ashe’s deadlock gang before being pulled into Overwatch operations. Responsible for bringing Echo back into the fold
- Mei - A climatologist who lost her entire team in an accident. Now uses her knowledge and happy-go-lucky attitude to help others
- Mercy - A medical prodigy and brilliant scientist who develops cutting-edge healing tech
- Moira - Experiments in genetic engineering in the shadows due to the illegal and immoral nature of her work. She has disdain for Overwatch and sees it as stifling scientific discovery, so she has chosen to work with Talon
- Orisa - Originally an OR-15 bot, a genius engineer named Efi reworked her into Orisa and gave her a “heart”, or moral compass and empathy module. She now protects the weak and fights for good
- Pharah - Ana’s daughter. Pharah had always wanted to join Overwatch growing up but Ana did not want this for her. Pharah joined Egypt’s Army then eventually made her way to become captain of the Helix Security team, tasked with defending an AI research facility
- Reaper - Originally Soldier 24 in the supersoldier program along Jack Morrison, then he became commander of Blackwatch. He is now some kind of paranormal being due to the experiments on him conducted by Moira
- Reinhardt - Originally part of the Crusaders, the Immortal Defenders of Germany. He had to pay a heavy price in order to learn that headstrong selfishness on the battlefield will lead to bad things
- Roadhog - Partner to Junkrat in his wacky crime sprees. Chopper bike enthusiast
- Sigma - A Dutch astrophysicist who was studying gravity and black holes until an experiment went horribly wrong and left him a little crazy and a little schizophrenic
- Soldier 76 - Was originally part of the Supersoldier program. Became the leader of Overwatch until it was disbanded, now he is an antihero rogue in the shadows
- Sombra - A hacking prodigy from a young age. She is currently working with Talon but riding the fence secretly and pursuing her own agenda, and is trying to figure out who runs the world and who is at the center of it all
- Symmetra - She is Vishkar Corporation’s premier hardlight architech. She dreams of crafting a perfect ordered society
- Torbjorn - Papa to Brigitte and close family friend to Reinhardt. He is a master engineer and craftsman
- Tracer - Originally a pilot in the Slipstream program, her warp device malfunctioned and she became disassociated from time. Winston built her a chronal harness and now she can zip around. She fights for Overwatch with her new powers. She regrets not being able to save Mondatta from Widowmaker
- Widowmaker - Was married to Gerard, an Overwatch agent spearheading operations against Talon. They could not take out Gerard directly so they kidnapped his wife and brainwashed her and turned her into a sleeper agent. She killed her husband and is now Talon’s perfect assassin.
- Winston - A super intelligent genetically engineered Gorilla from a moon colony. He was responsible for essentially saving Tracer, and for recalling Overwatch agents back to duty, culminating in their dramatic reunion in Paris as seen in “Zero Hour”
- Wrecking Ball - Another inhabitant from Horizon Lunar Colony along with Winston, Hammond escaped to Earth and landed in Junkertown, and slowly rose up the ranks as a junker competitor.
- Zarya - The world’s strongest woman. She gave up personal glory in order to protect her family and friends and country. She has an extreme distrust for Omnics
- Zenyatta - An omnic monk who left his monastery to wander the world in search of enlightenment and to help repair the problems between humans and omnics with interpersonal connections. He is considered Genji’s master and taught him much about accepting his new robotic body
- Athena - The AI running Winston’s computer and the announcer you hear during matches
- Fio - The dropship pilot you make contact with during the Retribution archive mission
- Gerard - Widowmaker (Amelie)'s now deceased husband who led operations against Talon
- Dr. Liao - Was responsible for helping create the Omnics and Echo. She was killed in an attack on her facility
- Petras - A civilian who became the leader of Overwatch in the last year of its original existence. The Petras Act that disbanded Overwatch was named after him
- Sojourn - An Overwatch officer, we first meet her in the Storm Rising mission as she’s helping us on comms during the mission
- Antonio - A corrupt businessman and secretly Talon. He is killed during the Retribution mission cutscenes by Reyes
- D. Cuerva - Was in charge of Baptiste’s squadron and led strikes on Mataki and Singapore
- Akinjinde - “Doomfist II” Was a mercenary working for Talon and stole the title and gauntlet from the first Doomfist Adhabu. Trained the Doomfist we know in-game (Akande)
- Maxmilien - A wealthy omnic in charge of Talon’s finances
- Mauga - A Talon Mercenary and an old friend of Baptiste.
- Trung Le Nguyen - A Talon operative assigned with Mauga to track down Baptiste
- Sanjay - Simultaneously a Vishkar employee as well as a Talon operative. Helped establish Vishkar’s domination in Rio de Janeiro
- Vialli - A member of Talon’s council. He ordered the assassination of Katya Volskaya as seen in “Infiltration” short
- Alejandra - Young girl who lives with her mother and bakery in Dorado, as seen in “Hero” short
- Aurora - The first omnic to become sentient. She sacrificed herself to give sentience to the rest of omnickind
- Balderich - Colonel and former leader of the Crusaders in Germany. Was supposed to join Overwatch. Lost his life staving off an omnic attack so Reinhardt could save his team. Reinhardt took his place in Overwatch instead
- Brian - Older hoodie-wearing brother in “Overwatch Cinematic Trailer”
- Timmy - Younger brother in “Overwatch Cinematic Trailer” AKA punch kid (due to his cast-punch spray in-game and fondness of copying Winston’s Primal Punch)
- Bruce - An old friend of Roadhog and scavenger in Junkertown. It’s said he is the only person Roadhog genuinely respects, and he is basically the only person who refers to Roadhog by his real name “Mako”

- Ganymede - The yellow bird that awoke Bastion and built a nest on his shoulder
- Guillermo - CEO of Lumerico and former president of Mexico. You can see a statue of him sitting down in Dorado (By the mega healthpack near the bank break in wall)
- Hal-Fred Glitchbot- The obnoxious Omnic movie director in the Limo that we escort through the Hollywood map
- Dr. Harold Winston - Winston’s caretaker when he was young. Was killed during the monkey uprising on the colony and Winston took over his glasses and name afterwards
- Luna - The cabaret singer omnic inside the attacker’s spawn A in Paris map
- Kace - An omnic gang leader from the Underworld who dislikes humans
- Katya - The CEO of Volskaya Industries and “most powerful woman in Russia”, whom Talon attempted to assassinate. Sombra blackmails her into providing “favors” in the future, which we do not know what they will be. She sends Zarya to track down and deal with Sombra
- Lynx - A hacker Omnic that Zarya comes across. Unlike most other Omnics, Lynx is purposefully gender-neutral
- Mondatta - An Omnic who led the Shambali monsastery after the first Omnic Crisis. His goal was to unite humans and omnics in peace but was assassinated by Widowmaker
- Okoro - The only Omnic on Pharah’s Helix Security team. The Anubis AI takes him over and attempts to make him fire on his own team, but in a last ditch effort he kills himself to prevent this
- Pachimari - The unofficial mascot of Overwatch. Roadhog is quite fond of these. Name literally means onion octopus
- Junkerqueen, Odessa Stone - Current ruler of Junkertown after winning the reckoning.
- Sam - Pharah’s dad. He doesn’t know Ana is still alive
- Snowball - Mei’s assistant drone and only companion during “Rise and Shine” short.
- Sojiro - Genji and Hanzo’s father and former head of Shimada clan.
- “The Suit” - A scummy member of the robotics manufacturer Hyde Global who is involved with Junkrat and Roadhog’s hijinks
- Sven - Torbjorn’s former colleague. He is somewhat of a villain and is guided by a false sense of righteousness in the sense of “the ends justify the means” as he used an Omnic to attack a capital, ending hundreds of lives, because he believed he was doing the right thing
- Vincent - Jack (AKA Soldier 76)'s old love interest. He eventually married someone else and nowadays Soldier still misses him from time to time
- MEKA - Mobile Exo Force of the Korean Army. Consists of Captian Myung, Hana Song, Kyuung-Soo Han, Yuna Lee, Seung-hwa Si, and Jae-Eun Gwon
- Ingrid - Brigitte’s mother and Torbjorn’s wife
- Mitzi - Brigitte’s cat. In various comics and origin shorts we can see Brig practicing her engineering by creating armor for the cat

During this, Rosa encountered Symmetra who was lost in the crowd; Rosa helped guide her out. Rosa was trapped in debris when Calado’s building was blown up, and she was burned on the face but saved by Symmetra

- Lefort - Owner of a bar in Port-de-Paix in Haiti. Gave Roseline and Baptiste free Papaya juice when they were children all the time during Summers
- Roseline Modesir - A doctor in Haiti and childhood friend of Baptiste
- Vernand Sainclair - Owner of Sainclair Pharmaceuticals in Port-de-Paix. He was the handler for Overwatch but secretly double crossing them and feeding Talon information in exchange for wealth. Baptiste had a chance to kill him during “What you Left Behind” story. He instead rescued him to safety in exchange for supplying every clinic in the country. Sainclair asked Baptiste why he didn’t kill him, and Baptiste said he wasn’t worth it
- Madade Thebeau - A smart old woman in her 70s who visited Roseline’s clinic and was trated by Baptiste
- Tamir Chada - A public relations specialist for Vishkar Corporation
- Harita Patel - The head Geologist for Vishkar Corporation
- Sarpanch Ranesh Grewal - Local government head in the Suravasa village. During a construction project in the village by Vishkar Corporation, they caused a ground tremor that broke the statue of Aurora, the first Omnic to gain sentience. Symmetra was tasked with repairing the statue to make amends with the village; she did so successfully
- Leonora Botruvio - An omnic artist, you can see many of her sculptures in “Gallerina D’Arte Omnica” the attacker spawn A in Rialto
- Asa Yamagami - Ran Yamagami Blades in Kanezaka and was chosen by the Shimada clan to be their swordmaster. She taught Genji and Hanzo the ways of the sword
- Toshiro Yamagami - Blacksmith who ran Yamagami Blades. He was abducted by the Toshiro Clan and they forced him to make blades for them. This let them have leverage over his wife Asa, and they forced her to do their bidding in Kanezaka
- Kiriko Yamagami - Daughter of Asa and Toshiro. Was taught two different life paths; the sword by her mother, and the fox spirit and healing by her grandmother. Is part of the Yokai, a street group who leave rebellious graffiti around Kanezaka to show rebellion against Hashimoto.

- Mahmud - A medic on the Helix Security team with Pharah. He wanted to stabilize an engineer who was near death, but Pharah ordered him not to, as she beleived the mission was more important.
- Saleh - A soldier on the Helix Security team with Pharah. He wanted to abandon the mission at one point but Pharah convinced him to keep fighting, with the promise of buying them all dinner once they were done. He was shot but survived.
- Anubis A.I. - A “god program” AI that was shut down and quarantined in Cairo. It broke containment and took control of omnics in the facility and started breaching firewalls before Helix Security was sent in to deal with it. It took control of Okoro, Helix’s only Omnic member, and almost made him fire on his own team, but Okoro killed himself before it could happen to save the team. Anubis AI was defeated after Tariq created a feedback loop within it.
- Dragons (group) - A group of raiders preying on defenseless towns in the time after Overwatch disbanded.
- Hanna - A young girl in a village attacked by the Dragons. She ran into Reinhardt and Brigitte. One of the dragons put an arm around Hanna to provoke Rein but Rein and Brig beat him up anyway. The next night Reinhardt drove the Dragons away from the area. Brigitte upgraded Hanna’s stuffed lion by making it armor. If you look closely you can see Hanna scarred and removed the stuffed Lion’s eye to resemble Reinhardt’s, whom she looks up to as a hero.
- Doubleday - A member of talon and Cuerva’s strike team. Was tasked with extracting Daniel Fernandez but this operation turned into a massacre and looting.
- Mazzei - A member of talon and Cuerva’s strike team. Was tasked with extracting Daniel Fernandez but this operation turned into a massacre and looting.
- Pacanowsky - A member of talon and Cuerva’s strike team. Was tasked with extracting Daniel Fernandez but this operation turned into a massacre and looting.
- Daniel Fernandez - Leader of the crominal organization The Playa Cartel in the Dominican Republic. Talon led an operation to apprehend him but he was never captured.
- Dr. Chao - CEO of Lucheng Interstellar. She spent a lot of time in low gravity environments and thus had to take supplements for bone deterioration
- Zhang - A member of the Horizon Lunar Colony staff. He drew suspicion to Hammond’s disappearance.
- Flores - A member of the Horizon Lunar Colony staff. Sent out emails asking about strange noises in the ventilation system before the uprising occurred.
- Nevsky - A member of the Horizon Lunar Colony staff. Discovered Test subjects Simon, Hypatia, and other troublemaker test subjects and re-convined them. He urged the staff to threat this issue seriously.
- Nguyen - A member of the Horizon Lunar Colony Staff. Was sent to the infirmary after being attacked by one of the gorillas.
- Patel - A member of the Horizon Lunar Colony Staff. They sent an email complaining about noise in the breakroom. This led Nevsky to re-capture Simon and Hypatia subjects.
- Yoshida - A member of the Horizon Lunar Colony Staff. Suggested the gorilla subjects be confined to their quarters after observing increased aggression. And Dr. Harold Winston agreed.
- B.O.B - Ashe’s Big Omnic Butler sidekick who helps her fight people. Has a hat and sweats oil. May or may not have ripped off McCree’s left arm
- Training Bots - Nice big rectangle head robots made in what looks like a section of Gibraltar for people to practice training on!
- Korean News Reporter - Covered Hana Song’s heroic antics and how she saved the city, and “emerged without a scratch” in “Shooting Star” short
- Ray - The pilot of the MV-261 Orca, despite Tracer’s name being on the ship
- Maria Estrada - Lieutenant pilot of the )SS-7 Aurora based out of Watchpoint: Gibraltar
- Emre Sarioglu - PFC Overwatch member who took part in Operation White Dome, where OW forces were deployed to Istanbul to root out Omnic resistance forces.
- Fusionator - A member of Overwatch.
- D. Rosenberg - Doctor who treated Gerard Lacroix after a Rome Blackwatch operation
- Specimen 8 (Hammond) - A test subject on HLC (This was who we know today as Hammond)
- Specimen 9 (Simon) - A test subject on HLC
- Specimen 10 (Dyson) - A test subject on HLC
- Specimen 15 (Calvin) - A test subject on HLC
- Specimen 20 (Susan) - A test subject on HLC
- Specimen 23 (Hypatia) - A test subject on HLC
- Specimen 24 (Marie) - A test subject on HLC
- Specimen 26 (Ellie) - A test subject on HLC
- Specimen 28 (Winston) - A test subject on HLC (This is who we now know today as Winston).
- Geiger - Combatant in the reckoning Junkerqueen cinematic
- Meri - Combatant in the reckoning Junkerqueen cinematic. She runs the “tinkers”, presumably an organization in Junkertown who deal with mechs and buliding/repairing them
- Junkerking, Mason Howl - Previous ruler of Junkertown before losing to Junkerqueen. Kicked out her family into the wasteland when she was a child.
- Unknown children (4) - Four small kids kicked out of Junkertown along with Odessa, presumably her siblings. Possibility that one is named Gracie/Grace, since Junkerqueen nicknamed her knife Gracie and has a lot of voicelines mentioning the name.
- Odessa’s mother - Kicked out of Junkertown by Mason Howl. Pleaded with him to let the kids stay, but was denied
- Odessa’s father - Kicked out of Junkertown by Mason Howl. Fought in a war with him.
- Mr. Yoshida - The elderly grandfather in Kiriko short. Is confronted by Hashimoto for a debt his son owes them. Works as a repair-man in the apartments Kiriko lives at.
- Little Fox - The small deaf girl with glasses who Kiriko is a friend of and protects. Gave Kiriko her red fox ears headband. Comes to work with Mr. Yoshida and makes drawings while he works.
- Hashimoto leader - Can be seen leading the gang who harassed Mr. Yoshida. Wears a red and black tiger stripe shirt, suit, and an oni mask
- Hashimoto “hair guy” - The goofy gang member with elvis hair. The running joke is that he has butterfingers and can never make a call for backup. His cell in “dragons” short slipped around in his hands then before he could call, Hanzo shot an arrow through it. In Kiriko short, he went to make a call for back up again and Kiriko attacked, making his cell slip around out of his hands.
- Hashimoto omnics - Two horned omnics seen helping “hair guy” and the leader. One got two direct kunai hitting him, making his arms flail around and malfunction.
- Mr. Yoshida’s son - Owes Hashimoto clan money. Is not confirmed whether “little fox” is his daughter or not.
- Soundquake - Described by Timmy in cinematic trailer, as having “chest missiles”
- Fusionator - Mentioned by Timmy in cinematic trailer as his favorite hero, before he changes his mind to Tracer.
- Murphy - Sojourn’s dog. Was seen in the behind-the-scenes look at her upcoming animated short.
- Orisa’s dog - Un named pupper in her emote
Please let me know if I’m missing anyone. I’d be VERY impressed at this point if you can find someone I missed, but there’s always tiny names that only appear in obscure blogs or something that slip through the cracks
