Definitely no need to upgrade him. He’s the mai cause of Tanks becoming DPS. Then again,he needs a rework. No more hook & heal. Give him either a double-barrel or pump action shotgun, switch the breather to give him temporary strong defense instead, and have his ult wreck foes like a minigun would, instead of knocking them back.
Brig had a mix of heals & offense, look what happened to her.

Not really. Rein & Sigma’s barriers got nerfed. They’ve been DPS since. DVA’s been an attacker since her changes.
The only defenders left are Zarya, Winston & Orisa. But their damage sucks, and they were never Rein-level defenders.
But in OW2, they’ll be DPS as well.
Out of the whole category right now, its 75% attackers, 25% defenders. And it sucks being a defender now because of not only the DPS favoritism, but because of trash teammates. You really want that in OW2?

Hog’s gun sucks, its not a proper shotgun, its made of junk & shoots scrap. And you never see players get kills solely with that, the hook does the work.
Also, the shotgun in TF2 IS a pump action shotgun. So, Hog should have that, and removing the hook altogether leads to that shotgun being powerful, I’d be fine with that. It’d be a fair trade.

Are you playing in wood rank or something? You don’t need the hook, playing around with bots should give you an idea of the absurd damage it does if the hog has aim.
That’s all every Hog player does, because the ability is so busted. Especially on maps with pits.
Take that ability away, then no one would need the hook.
Aim? Its a SHOTGUN. You gotta be close, but thanks to the hook, why would anyone want be in close range against an full hp enemy?

no, feathering was removed in season 2 when it first happened i believe. there are delays that prevent it, ever since then. and the OW2 demo showed 4 second DM i believe. season 3 DM was still 4 seconds.
Winston is built to absorb damage but can’t stand in a choke all day
It was 4 seconds for the longest time. But im faily certain feathering was still a thing during nano visor in season 3. The recharge delay was just really short and allowed awesome up time by feathering it
The hook does most of the dmg, so the Hog player isnt at risk.
But no Hog player would want to get close to a full hp enemy while using only his shotgun.
He is crap without his barrier, unless he’s ulting. But the enemy team will get their ults 10 times over before Winston gets his once if he doesnt use his barrier, because he’d be feeding.

hes a selfish little rat who keeps his shield to himself (which is why adaptive shields dont give ult charge and SHOULDNT)
but there’s no reason to change him
just buff his primary damage, revert KB and maybe buff shields a bit and he will be fine

she needs a tank to protect her without personal or she is forced to play cover to cover
