Did the most recent change to hog change much?

i mean in some ways it was a nerf to him since he cant get whole hog faster, also his healers cant get charge off hog as much i believe(could be wrong just what i read) but also enemies cant get ult charge off him as much so i am curious does this put hog in a much better position? i assumed so since he is less of a liability to his team now

He’s being played a lot more in GM. Has an extra high WR rn just because people are climbing, after a while the WR will settle lower again.

Don’t think he’s meta, but I’m confused how he’s so good with D.va being the 2nd most picked tank.

Because a good Dva Matrix him while goin whole Hog I suppose?

Good D.va’s are also his hardest counters.

thank you honestly that is very interesting glad its improved him for the moment, dont usually think of hog/d.va as a good combo :stuck_out_tongue:

“Enemies now generate 25% less Ultimate Charge from damage dealt to Roadhog”

Nothing was said about healing generating any different amount of ult charge, so this should be a straight buff to hog.

my bad i just heard people saying that he generated less ult charge for himself and his team

Yeah, I understand, there’s been a lot of confusion around this particular change.

That’s not the case, it was in the Exp but now it’s only less ult charge to damage, nto self or team heal.

oh that makes sense why there was confusion thank you to both you and DeadPirate

Because d.va has limited range to stop the hook combo from landing, on top of that the other DPS focused tanks were brought closer in line with his playstyle.

As such he isn’t a bad pick just that he has little ability to combo with other heroes, which is ultimately what dictates the meta.

But is that because of the Ult charge, or because it’s Ball meta?

And Roadhog hook is really good at shutting down Ball. (Additionally pretty good against D.va)

Couldn’t tell you. ,

Yeah, I guess him problem is that he struggles to synergize with other tanks.
