More people hate it anyway
Wait, if the game becomes flanker oriented, ie both teams start playing around it, who in their right mind would play someone thay would be flankable?
It just turns back into a deathball with less coordonation.
But this is exactly what I meant. You wanted to knock a nail in the wall, a hammer fell on your foot and now you never use tools again. If the way you came up with your analogy is the same you tested the experimental mode it is pretty obvious why you don’t like it.
So dive vs dive should be the only viable meta?
1-3-2 is just a sniperfest, no strategic depth just who has the better sniper.
You need tools to peel for your backline, if you don’t have answer everyone in the backline will play respawn simulator. No strategic depth for the backline
Dude, its been out for a day. They may completely scrap it all together, its in the experimental card for a reason, Besides they would change/buff/nerf anyone and everyone. Post like this is why I am loosing faith in the average playerbase these days
I don’t know where you learned that but even if you were correct, the development process took many months to complete; Developers don’t ignore the on-goings of the game, they’re not blind, and they’re not dumb. They went through many iterations of the role queue system as they’ve discussed in developer updates, and the final version was the best one they picked before release.
Yes of course this is about goats.
Jeff said it on release, that the decision was made a year ago (at the point of release) which fell exactly on the time window when GOATS startet.
So they were considering 2-2-2 even before GOATS
It took 1 year to develop 2-2-2
Thank you for a third point to support my other 2.
The hell…why are you trying to put words in my mouth? It’s not a sniperfest with no strategic depth. 1-3-2 is about flanks, positioning, coordinating attacks on the back line. Your peel is now your DPS. Do they need to step it up? Of course. Everyone is learning here.
More has too be taken into consideration then just more people like it then hate it.
If que times are cut by 50% for dps finding a match, then it’s all good.
If 25% of the remaining tank base quit. And 25% of the tank base switches to dps or support, the DPS que will actually increase if not stay the same!
The only way to decrease que time for DPS is to make more people want to play tanks.
To make more people want to play tanks, blizzard needs to focus on why people want to play the class to begin with.
BUT THAT THE THING. You could use LFG. Or you could find a friend and play with a friend.
Now, we, dps, can’t cut the line. Every game, we have to wait around 5-10 minutes to get into a game. If we group up with a tank, they’ll wait as much as we normally do.
AND they said that they went through a LOT of discussions. The team were fairly split on using 222. But ultimately they went with it. That decision was made after looking at the state of the game right before it was released
Pros/top500/streamers already state and proofed that it would be a snipefest without major nerfs to snipers
Not even close to true. I play with dps in a tank duo and the the dps always gets about a 3 minute queue. If you solo on dps its going to suck, but in a group it doesnt make the queue ten minutes unless you are gm, thats an exaggeration.
Yes snipers work better in 1-3-2 than in 2-2-2, that’s great news
I cannot understand why you think snipers = no strategy though. A sniper’s job is to lock-down space. The enemy team has to address that. Sniper position and space control are integral to good flanking strategy
Actually, Jeff already stated the current sentiment over 1/3/2 is a negative experience.
And judging by the threads that hate triple dps compared to those that like it, I would agree.
Threads that don’t like this new mode are getting more hearts, while those that prefer it are getting quite a few less.
i would like to see where is the majority who like 1-3-2 because on the forum the majority dislike this game mode and on reddit i would say around 90%-95% dislike too and the majority are tank and support main
to op:
For me, though 1-3-2 has the potential (assuming that Tank players arent lost due to reluctance to solo tank) to substantially reduce queue times, I dont see it as any better or worse than 222; given that the key problem - loss of freedom - remains, just in a different combination of roles
so for me, it is a sideways step, not a step forward or back
said another way, I dislike both 222 and 132 equally
Please explain why you dont like 222?
Yeah…
Already starting to realize how Snipers and CC are problematic without constant Tanks soaking that up.
It’s like walking outdoors in the rain, after they got rid of most of the umbrellas.
