Hey devs, instead of deciding which type of “inclusion/equality” you want to virtue signal with when creating heros, maybe try working on fixing the doodoo bugs that get players banned. If you ever get the “applying update” loading bug when trying to enter a game just get off. There’s nothing you can do about it and get banned from comp. GGs, don’t sink your money into a company that couldn’t care less about you.

Who came up with the idea of applying an update while entering a match? seriously? There’s plenty of time to apply an update, like while starting the game or before entering the queue, but while entering a match and getting people banned for the audacity of entering a match?

Just an update. After an hour, it’s still “applying update”, and this is on an almost-flagship computer. How is it this slow!
If you do something while in the queue, deathmatch, training etc then it’ll apply the update when entering that game, and if it gets stuck at least you can quit without a ban.
The funny thing is that it happened to one of the developers yesterday when they were playing on twitch, I think it was even Aaron Keller. (Around the timer at 25:10)
While loading into the Talantis map, he expressed that he was stuck into an “Applying Update” screen.
It took some time before they could fix the problem and come back. problem.
Somehow related but I noticed the game also get stuck if you are in a queue and you are doing something else, for instance loading a replay, highlight or a custom map.
It happened to me in the past, so when I queue for comp I try not to do anything else.

Time when they mention it is 25:10 if anyone cares. He says he’s stuck on applying update and then his game crashes

I appealed and they canned responsed me telling me I shouldnt have left, despite providing video proof
