That was the last time my sister played Bastion. When Baptiste just came out. We would troll people so hard with immortal Bastions. That was before all this crazy damage mitigation stuff was being optimized. At most you would have people run fake goats to try and survive long enough for immortality to fade.
Well given almost all the PTR changes were Nerfs I guess Bastion got lucky to be forgotten. And in a round about way heās stronger cause so many people are weaker?
I know right? You put a field next to the corner and bastion there, and people are all āum, maybe laterā
Sadly, field was one of the only ways to use him, and Dāva is stronger nowā¦
So, it doesnāt look good for our little robot.

Bastion needs a rework if anything. Forgive me for saying, but Bunker comp is not enjoyable to play against, or to play as. Its a cheap gimmicky defensive strategy thatās either completely unbeatable, or a total joke. Either way, it has no place here. We learned that already from Torbās and Symmās reworks. So Iād be down for a rework to change make Bastion less reliant on Sentry and more of an active character, just like Symm and Torb were reworked to rely less on their turrets. I think transitioning him into a Tank role character could also be really interesting.

The problem here isā¦ Bastion is 100% reliant on recon and teammates at the moment.
He doesnāt rely on Sentry because Sentry gets him killed when not protected 24/7.

They referred to Mercyās changes as āGenerally successfulā if i remember correctly.
Because you arenāt getting properly supported? Enemies shouldnāt be able to rush down a Bastion with good positioning very easily, thatās the whole point of the character and he works accordingly when used properly
I donāt think youāve played much Bastion, if thatās how you think.
No matter your positioning, no matter how well youāre pocketed, you will be rushed down constantly.
And yes, the enemy will be rewarded for this.

I donāt have an opinion about Bastion being OP or UP but I saw comments on Bastion being a joke in low ranks. This is simply not true. Bastion is literally the go-to pick when all hope is lost and heās always famous on defense, especially 2cp. Ever since 2-2-2, heās become more famous in my plat games, heās more played now because he can shred uncoordinated teams easily (I play mostly solo queue).
Iām sure Bastion is still used a lot in gold and below too.
Iām eternally grateful my least favorite hero is bastion. Iām also eternally sympathetic to the poor souls that main him.

Iāve Mained two heroes in that club. 
Not against a Sigma, Hog, Bap, Ana, Ashe and Hanzo, team.
Imagine how quickly they would be steamrolled.
If your team lets the opposition do whatever they want or you never reposition, then yeah youāre gonna get rushed down eventually
To think that Bastion is absolutely unusable though is just being unreasonable. Bastion has his uses and can be extremely hard to contest when used in the right situations. Generally speaking, Bastion isnāt always the most difficult hero to deal with, but I feel like a lot of situations where he could work he just doesnāt because people donāt know how to run with a Bastion properly. Kind of like Hammond really

Though, you would have a Bastion and Sym, on the same team. So it could be worse.
