That is what it really comes down to. A lot of Mercy mains found Mass Rez fun! Fun in a way that no other hero is. Fun in a way that ONLY Mercy with Mass Rez could provide. Now Mass Rez is gone, cant find that fun anywhere, right?
But maybe, for a lot of people, it was that unique fun that was a problem. Maybe there is no good way to get that specific unique type of fun back without making it useless or exploitable.
Fun is subjective, and if we want people to listen to us, we have to listen to them!

I was referring to averages that I had collected through Overbuff before. So no, it’s not theoretical. I wish I could get a better idea of Mercy’s potential, though it is still pretty low. If only there was a truly accurate way to gather statistics…

I mean they could just axe it entirely, but I imagine that would be a more difficult sales pitch.
But I do imagine they could easily have an option to “Default to Focus Beam”.

Her ult changed and she gained an ability plus improved mobility, the way she plays is practically the same outside using your ult

This is true. The base kit is not any different until most recent -10hps nerf! Til then only improvements via GA!

Why is fun a problem only for mercy but for all other hero’s its fine?
I gave you plenty of ways we could properly balance mass rez.
There are plenty of ways to make it fair and fun for both parties.
I’d rather they just left the hero I enjoyed the way it was intended originally and the devs made those people a hero they could enjoy.
both people would get what they want.
and that’s where your wrong mercy didn’t have e rez before 2.0 which has changed her playstyle for the worse.
Which is why it should be reworked its problems were fixable.

Her primary (until recently) and alt fire have remained the same.
GA has remained the same, but gained added expression and utility via bunnyhop and superjump. Very good.
E was added as a rez with a 30s CD and a cast time.
That is how her basic kit has changed. Until the recent -10hps it was only buffed. All thG changes was the ult.
All that matters it seems, to some, is the ult.

Her primary was changed. 1/3 can be checked of.
Resurrect is also changed! 2/3 can be checked of too.
Finally, there’s Valkyrie. That’s 3/3.
Mercy’s kit has changed drastically after her rework and people are finding her unfun because of Valkyrie and Resurrect on E.

All I know is that each support’s damage/healing potential levels off around 13k in gm other than Moira, Zenyatta, and Mercy. It’s hard to take other abilities into account by rank…
I can’t check Overbuff at the moment, but I believe last I checked… Mercy was at 11k, Zenyatta at 17k, and Moira at 20k. I hope this buff manages to bring her up a bit, and we’re likely going to see an increase in her damage averages due to the ultimate charge buff.
But still… I think that a rework would be more healthy overall. I’ll wait it out an all, but I’m extremely dissatisfied with how Blizzard has handled Mercy’s kit thus far.

You gotta keep in mind, Moira is almost exclusively used for GOATs in GM, and has a very small pickrate.

She’s meant to be able to heal the most over the entire match, and if she isn’t topping the healing charts, that means she isn’t doing what she’s supposed to do.
How about… I don’t know… The other 2 main healers in this game that are designed to heal people through focus fire?

Well ya mass rez was removed. Replaced with singular rez xD That has nothing to do with her base kit! And it only added to her base kit! I know rez changed, but pre rework it was only available via ult! So dm how it was when it was made an ability, as that’s just straight bonus to base kit!
