Ana is relatively bad, but the other supports are just extremely good. If mercy, briggite, zen, moira and lucio were nerfed to ana’s level people would still run double support because you need healers in this game or else your tanks are going to feed.
Her last nerf was like 5 months ago
Ana lacks synergy with most, if not, all of the Supports…which I think also hurts her.

Well this just isn’t true. Zen is actually the only healer that doesn’t heal more than Ana on average in any Elo.
Maybe it’s time Lucio’s aura is increased again - it’s not like he’s in a particularly good spot, and helping him might at least be something of a helping hand to Ana (although I really dislike “buffing” characters through others about as much as nerfing characters through others).

I would prefer they lower the CD on cross fade, give him more active strength, not passive strength.
I only say this because I’m doubtful of Ana getting buffed any time soon.
As a result, the only way to make her better is to increase her synergy in the Support category.
Which means nothing if the rest of the team is dead.
If there is two healers than zenyatta’s healing is fine.
Res is always better than the 2 other.
Only Zen can be equal to her with discord.

That’s not the point he’s trying to make.
He’s saying that Zenyatta can fulfill Ana’s niche of long-range healing, while bringing a LOT more to the table.
Orb of Harmony, Orb of Discord & Transcendence are a lot more consistent and just as useful as Biotic Grenade, Sleep Dart & Nano Boost.
If Ana can’t output healing akin to that of Moira & Mercy and not offer consistent utility akin to Brigitte, Lucio & Zenyatta…then what can she do better outside of inconsistent long-range healing?

discord = enemies die faster.
healing orb = HoT.
he can do both at same time. ana cant.
he has a better ult that is less situational.
he can defend himself better (as he can deal dmg faster)
so yeah…try again later. ana is weak af and unless gets buffs will not be better than zen.

Sure, if you think 6-8k/10min healing is enough. There’s a reason Zenyatta is an off healer. I agree that Ana should be putting out healing closer to Moira and Mercy, but Ana’s heals are still nowhere near as low as Zenyatta unless we’re talking bronze elo.
You specifically said healing smart one, two people and you are moving the goalpost.
zen has more consistent healing than ana does. (his healing stacks)
however also brigns discord (which is multitudes better than sleep dart/nade)
u dont pick a healer JUST for healing (else that would always be the top 2 healers used.). they have their perks and zen’s is only second to mercy’s.

Zen’s healing is the lowest support healing in every Elo, this is undeniable fact.

Of course you don’t pick healers just for their healing, that wasn’t you’re original point to begin with though and I’m not arguing against it. Your point was Zen would beat Ana at ranged healing if mercy didn’t exist, that is simply not true.
If you want to get into the thick of it, Mercy enables Zen. Discord and transcendence are powerful abilities, but he’s an easy dive target and his healing potential is, and i’ll say it again, the lowest out of every healer. With mercy you’ve got the best healer in the game making sure Zen’s always alive so discord stays up.

Ana is weak. Moira is balanced but she’s about to become bad soon. the only reason Mercy seems “op” is because every other healer sucks. Ofc Mercy is a must pick when nothing else is nearly good enough.

Ana needs better sustain to stop wasting her grenade on herself.
Moira is fine except for not being able to heal through shields. They should revert that.
Mercy is fine. Her pickrate has little to do with res. Which also btw leads to her own death most of the time. She is the only true healer and most consistent of all the healers. Every other support can heal and damage or antiheal at the same time. Mercy is the only one that stays on consistent healing the whole time. All the others are hybrids that hit limits on thier healing capabilities. Want to drop mercy’s pickrate? Add another pure consistent healer to the game. We only have one that’s not a hybrid.
