Years of neglect and lack of content, only for it to be nearly 2 months before release. And you’re asking on surveys if I’m okay with paying $44.99 for a skin? I legit can just save that $44.99 for a newly launched game, since $59.99 isn’t that far off from that.
You already saw how Diablo Immortal screwed up microtransactions, don’t do it again. Because all you’ll be doing is burning the inexistent good will left in the playerbase of this game. You already screwed up Diablo, so why not Overwatch?
Price these things better, especially a skin I’m not even gonna get to fully look at because I’m in first person most of the time, seriously.
If D:I “Screwed up” and “ruined diablo,” it’s kind of strange that people paid $49 millioin in the first month alone, don’t ya think? Even though, people like you cried all day about how it was “too expensive.”
$44.99 USD for a skin? that’s $72.60 NZD… at the moment I can go and get Red Dead 2 on steam for $49.97 NZD or Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for $12.48 NZD.
Actual AAA games… come on Blizzard, polishing your brass balls can’t be that costly.
It’s just plain shocking to me, I wouldn’t pay that much for a skin… heck the watchpoint pack is cheaper than that. Sometimes you need to compare the price to other things because it helps keep a perspective on how ridiculous the price is.
If they used this money to get rid of the cheaters, I’d be ok with it. But I think this is unlikely. THis is just really sad. I can say for myself, won’t be buying any.
Meanwhile we’re paying 50 bucks for a wallpaper in Lost Ark that we watch about 2 minutes a day tops. They’re trying to simply copy the MTX processes from other games using the well known image of OW as a basis for an answer to the question of “well… if other gaming companies are doing this with cool graphics, why can’t we have the same when we have better graphics and better gameplay?”
To which they couldn’t answer coherently because the pressure on the devs is immense while the stockholder aspect of the company is simply such a behemoth that the company can no longer push out a reasonable product, and is only riding the WoW lore and stories at this point
