Why would anyone pick Holy Nova?

isn’t it kind of a meme. name one thing about it you would want on your team that can’t be supplied by some other talent like Inner Focus or Lightwell :expressionless:

Why would anyone respond to a “why would anyone” post?

It’s just a troll trolling.

Lyras, you actually make me unreliable lol. But no problem.

The first part of sentenses is repeated in every topics, but the second part has considerable contain.

Its the only talent on its tier that gives damage and waveclear. Good stuff.

I actually like the W-build on Anduin aside from his AA-build started with double the 1 talents.

A good Nova is scary as hell and will secure low health kills that get away from the team. A bad Nova will flank, get cornered, pop clone and then wonder why they die before repeating the same process all game long lol.

So while there’s a good reason to pick Nova, she’s a noob trap hero and new players should stay very, very far away from her as a draft or even a pick in QM imo.

No! Not that Nova! Anduin’s HOLY Nova! … And no, it’s not a skin where Nova has wings and a halo.

Really we’re debating the merits of level 16 Anduin Talents…
Holy Nova give anduin damage.

It’s not bad since they buffed it to 4 mana. 2 healing is surprisingly good in such an aggro meta, so it’s not a horrible pick over Breath of the Infinite. The main issue is that Hunter has overtaken DH in popularity, and they tend to run 3 health minions. Even the Demon Hunters you do see generally cut the Umberwings and Satyr Overseers in favour of Soul Fragment stuff.

Good card, just the wrong meta. It rocked back in AoO.

Since when is Nova called “Holy Nova”? :joy:

It honestly doesn’t seem as useful now that Disc has mind sear now. Its healing may be slightly higher at rank 2 but you still have to get in melee range while mind sear has the standard 40 yard range. Not to mention shadow covenant which makes mind sear the obvious choice for its duration.

      Since when is she not called that

Reading the talents is perhaps a good start, since Holy Nova is the ONLY one on that tier that actually does something different in the sense that it also provides dmg.
Also if you combine it with Speed of the pious, you got a pretty neat burst heal with a short CD, that can get your backline in a pretty hefty position vs heroes like Zeratul or Qhira.

I would describe her HOT, not “Holy”.

Let’s pray to Jesus for wins in the form of “holy” Nova?

The problem is that Holy Nova’s…

After Anduin catches Divine Star, it explodes, healing nearby allied Heroes for 105 (+4% per level) and damaging enemies for 105.

…healing radius is way too small.

Chastise also has the same problem.

Increase the Root duration of Chastise from 1.25 to 1.5 seconds. After hitting an enemy with Chastise, Anduin’s next Basic Attack deals 75% more damage and heals allied Heroes near him for 100.
