Why do people in the forums hate QM, the most popular mode in the game?

i don’t propose any changes the game is what it is. it started in third place and will stay there .yes you are still employing backwards logic my wanting the game to change and improve in no way means i hate the game it means i like the game enough to want it to be better . or at least i did . to many people in forums want to want to talk about the players instead of the game . not like any of what is said here will have a positive impact on the game it’s all been said before and will be ignored as always pretty much a dead issue

April 17th 2017 is the last time i spent any money on this game . i just wont spend money on a broken and incomplete game so say what you want but facts are facts i play the game but will never spend a dime on this game . and that is the companies failing not the players

Okay, so you’re essentially wasting everyone’s time. Got it.

I don’t think that you know what the term “backwards logic” means much less have the means to tell others whether or not they are employing it but I digress.

You’re the one using the term ‘hate’ and shoving words into people’s mouths to make them say arguments they aren’t saying (we call that particular fallacy the strawman argument).

Morthion said you can’t make things better without admitting that the thing you want to improve is flawed.

Do you think heroes is flawed and should be improved or do you think that the game is perfect as is?

Judging from your statement here:

You most definitely agree with Morthion’s statement and believe that the game is flawed.

I don’t agree with Bloodsky on much, but seeking to fix something that is flawed is very different to hating it, I think he’s right here.

Fixing a thing comes from a place of appreciation.

Hating a thing would lead you to call for its destruction.

People didn’t hate writing or washing or travelling. They wanted it, or needed it, but they did seek to improve it.

That is our nature. To improve, to innovate, to invent. Hate doesn’t come into it.

twist it anyway you want makes no diff and ty for wasting everybody’s time as well

QM isn’t meant to be balanced, hence the “quick” in quick match. Optimists might cry for balanced teams with relatively short queue times but idk if that’s possible. For all you know you could get a first time hero so that person would mess up anyway in game.

You could always go out and meet people. That should solve that particular problem.

definitely not the type of people i would waste my time on . i mean really the idea that you would only try to improve things that you hate … utterly ridiculous

This is a non sequitur, I hate Justin Bieber’s music but I’m not calling it’s destruction, I just don’t listen to it.

Just the same, one might hate doing something that they view as inefficient and want to improve it to be more efficient.

Funnily enough, my original post was as follows:

What else would you call that but destroying QM? All of my comments are to be taken in the context of my first statement. Most of the “improvements” suggested by QM threads are, as I said, really about changing it into a different mode.

xxBloodSkyxX, also known as “nobody ever improved sanitation because they were disgusted by filthiness,” responded sarcastically that wanting change must mean that you hate the game (mode – I’ll charitably assume he forgot that word).

To which I agreed. That’s absolutely the conclusion to be drawn, as you yourself noted. Wanting to destroy something and replace it with something else usually springs from a place of hate.

like i have said before nothing good ever happens in these forums just personal attacks in the defense of a game . it’s like the Lord of the Flies in here either tow the company line or face their knights and be drowned out of their echo chamber .bloos don’t exist

done in this post see you in the next because change is slow to come

While some users might be guilty of blindly defending Blizzard (I’ve been accused of this even though I have criticized Blizzard a number of times), but more often than not when I see users make this argument they are just salty that most of the other users disagree with their ideas or opinions and are using that argument as an ad hominem attack.

It’s fine, no one can force you to participate in a discussion if you don’t want to, but if you do participate - you ought to have some thick skin and prepare yourself because people are going to analyze your ideas and give criticism and a lot of times are going to be impolite about it, unfortunately, but also politely a lot of times too.

It’s a love-hate relationship I guess. I want quick match making queues but I want people to play sincerely. As it is now, from my experience, the queues for QM are quick but the team compositions and players sincerity to win are hit or miss with very few balanced games.

No you don’t hate it, you just dislike it. It might disgust you. You may loathe it. But you don’t hate it. Or you would be calling for its destruction.

Hate is much more primal than that.

I’m going by the dictionary definition, not your subjective views about the definition of the word.

I know how I feel about Justin Bieber’s music, you don’t.

People don’t hate QM. Many here are just bored to death of tons of rant-topics about how unfair QM comps are and how Blizzard should do something about it, while it has been stated for countless time that QM is not the mode around which the game is balanced and how QM is meant to be a sort of “random mode” where you have only to care about what you want to play.

Seeing the forum flooded with yet another wave of “OMG fix QM” threads is just terrible.

I played some rank last night and after a 3rd game I started to experience some lag. I still wanted to play but don’t want to put my league score at risk. so I wanted to play QM but then I remember my 5 game loss because people go AFK and hate and flame and troll and and and, so I wen back to ranked as you are somewhat accountable if you troll / lose. in QM there is no accountability if you lose. so I don’t hate it, I just hate the type of players you encounter in it. yes yes I know you get bad people everywhere but it tends to be less in ranked.

Do you people realize that by being the most popular mode it is the mode which the game is mostly judged upon?
If QM is unbalanced, frustrating and a random clown Fiesta then that’s not a pretty picture for the overall game, is it?
That being said, QM could have been fixed 2-3 years ago when the population was still big enough. If devs made those changes now (they already did once) there would be dozens of crying players because their queue times go over 2 minutes.
