Which Blizz dev has a hard on for ARAM Industrial District?

It’s the most annoying map with the conveyor belts, the angle is damn awkward, and I am pretty sure bottom players have the upper hand with the angle.

Last 20 ARAM games, 8 has been Industrial District and 3 of them were in a row!!!

Which employee at Blizzard HQ has a hard on for this map and put it on high rotation?

Random chance. I’ve been playing ARAM, and I’ve been presented with the Industrial District map only twice in twenty games.

I agree that the map is laid out a bit awkwardly, and I’ve heard similar complaints to yours by other players in my ARAM games, this is the only ARAM map that anyone has grumbled about. If memory serves me, I think this is the only ARAM map that has no vents or bushes for Mr Dehaka, so there is that too.

This place makes essence taste bad.

Nowhere to ambush from.

I’m also sure the replays are still bugged on that map.

players tend to favor left side far more than right side, but you aren’t complaining about that bias… anywhere?

The angle is ‘awkward’ because it’s different, and by being different people aren’t as prone to adapting, especially when they can just complain instead. The point of the map is to be ‘different’ so highlighting that something is ‘different’ is fairly bottom rung.

Some devs actually bother to pay attention to that stuff which is why select bias’ in the map tend to be offset by other factors; eg the ‘left’ side bias is given to the top to try to offset the bottom bias on the right.

Since there’s only 4 aram maps to rotate they’re going to be prone to saturation and streaks. But rathe than deal with any of this, you’re attributing some other problem into a scapegoat over fairly petty stuff.

Man, I hope you don’t ever play any Zelda gamse, that guy Link is lefthanded…

i too despite conveyer belts, but its’ really not that bad. I honestly prefer it to the Spider Cavern one that has literally no tactical elements.

Industrial District would be a little better if it had grass/vents for dehaka, as right now there’s 0 on the map.

I agree with you. It’s the ARAM map which I enjoy the least because of the angles and the escalators. It’s just awkward to play.

Only in some of them. In BotW and Skyward sword for xample hes right handed. In Zelda two he’s amidextrous

I’m often annoyed that spiders are harder minions to kill for basically no reason. (Especially when my team has bad waveclear)

So back in SNES LttP, there’s the magic mirror item that moves Link from the ‘light’ world to the world of ‘dark’ and Hyrule has persisted in having that duality since. While it isn’t as evident in some games, the games tend to fit into these ‘what-if’ branches in the time line, so some iterations are mirrors of other points of the other zelda games.

This is the most evident in Twilight Princess as the game was made for Wii and Gamecube, with one version being remapped as a mirror of the other console, which started Link as “right handed” due to the mirroring. So if your “link” between you and the ‘game’ has him as as a righty, then you still need to get your moonpearl :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey it’s still not as terrible as that one pink map they couldn’t design, tried to fix and it still sucked. Always a positive!

The Industrial District is actually the best ARAM map there is. The majority of the craziest games i ever had happened there and not having replays of most of them is really frustrating.

That was actually fixed quite a while ago, as in at least a year.

Took them long enough. Next they can start fixing the screen freezing i still keep getting. Even after updating my Graphic card that tempoary fixed it then now its back again.

All the way back in February 21, 2023.

Took way too long to find the actual patch notes…

One thing people overlook is how stacked you can get on globes for industrial district. I just set a PR on Stitches with 132 globes and over 13k health. And was zoooom’in around the map. Didn’t even need to mount up.

Long story short - turn water into wine.
