  • Applying pressure to a lane is worthless. Only XP matters.
  • Heroics are only valuable if they give you XP from killing minions. No other abilities of the heroic matter.
  • All abilities should behave in exactly the same manner.
  • There should never be any drawbacks whatsoever for relying primarily on ranged attacks – it’s melee attackers who should have a ton of drawbacks.
  • If people can’t play the game well, it’s obviously the game that’s flawed, not the people.

So will I. Every thread seems to have been about how abilities are suddenly worthless and heroes totally pointless if they’re not as good at getting XP.

If that isn’t a straw man for railing against a change, I don’t know what is.

I haven’t seen one person say abilities are worthless. Some are diminished… hell some are even greatly diminished, but it would be a stretch to say anyone’s arguing for worthless.

You literally misconstrued what people were saying to make what they’re saying superficial… which is a textbook definition strawman.

For example… can all of Azmodan’s abilities be valuable to his team? Absolutely.

However, his trait was pretty much designed for split pushing and split soaking, and his globes can generate a ton of XP when it’s stacked to wipe a minion wave. That is now a lot of XP an Azmodan is missing out on with no compensating benefit.

It’s a stretch to say useless, but this change is a flat nerf to many many abilities.

Are we supposed to draw the conclusion that it was a graphics change that suddenly makes them worthless?

Edit: I’ll go get more if you want, but I, at least, have seen “X hero/ability is now worthless” making its rounds.

There’s a difference between literally unplayable and ‘unplayable’ in the casual sense.

Abathur and Azmodan suffered MASSIVE nerfs because of this patch. As did TLV. They aren’t 100% useless, but they might as well be.

Edit: Which is to say I could see all of these heroes’ abysmal popularity plummeting further.

Don’t waste your time, this person is just a troll.

In another thread I said if lava wave can soak exp, so should other abilities and he came up with “yeah force wall should soak, you’re so wrong dude and I’m right”.

Just don’t bother.

Not a troll, just a hardcore Blizzard apologist. I’ve literally never seen him criticize Blizzard for anything, and whenever they do something stupid this guy will pretty much always be there to white-knight for them and defend whatever stupid thing they did to the death.
