Congratulations on epic globe fail

Well, Abathur is out. So is Azmo. Queued up first game and had Aba, Asmo, and KT in the game. Azmo had double the damage output of anyone on our team but earned about the same amount of our healer Alex at 9k. Our Abathur contributed 2k exp. 2k. I repeat, 2k. We were down 4 levels by the time they dinged level 15.

I am not sure how you describe the next level above snowball. Avalanches? Was this globe exp thing intended to entirely change the game? Not sure. First impression is that this is an ill concept.

I had a game were i contributed 20k+ on Abathur BEFORE PATCH by triple soaking (edit: and everyone else 6 to 8K), the other 4 on our team roamed the two closer lanes and i camped the furthest and moved and burrowed around (didn’t die), mines symbiote and aba’s main body let you triple soak when done correctly, you just need mad SC2 micro and macro skills.

And no, it’s no longer possible, now you can’t even double soak safely, not just because you have to be outside of brush to be able to draw the globes closer to you, but because if you are outside of them behind a wall it just follows you and it’s visible, plus its short range, you really can’t in most maps.

I mean come on, who came up with the idea of another visual indicator for giving away people in the fog of war??? globes are just a dead giveaway if you are too close behind a wall or just outside sight. What use are things that give sight for ambushes if a globe gives away your position??

edit: Now? i just had a game were we snowballed 7-5 before 4:20 in the match, what does this fix blizzard? what? and you want more mechanics like this every 3 months??

Not if you have at least 3 synapses firing to use fog of war properly.

Well he did the job of the DDealers. It was up to the others to do the xp grabbing.

Or people could just stop playing the game because we stopped playing League specifically because of the tedious nonsense the game entailed.

But hey, bruiser mains will be happy… as if they’ve ever had a problem playing.

In league I main bruisers and Tanks, but I’m not going to venture into SL with this going on. If my QM games are any indications some people are worse with soaking than before.

This may change, people will probably learn. Until then, I’m just going to spam Mal’Ganus, Leoric, Tychus, Malthael in QM while it’s all Deathwing mirror matches.

This is by far, the worst implemented patch in the history of video games. I hate the mechanic, and it also causes my computer to now stutter-step so much the game is basically unplayable.

All of this has been predicted. Myself pointed out some 10-20 heroes which are affected by the change.

No problem - Aba and Azmo can see a rebalance where their utility moves from gathering xp to doing damage. Same about the other dozen heroes, and that includes already edgy heroes like Hammer or Chromie, too.

Winrates will tell the story I suppose, although it will take some time since people usually have a ranged squishy in both teams, so the most valuable information will have to come from QM and the non-mirror matches. It’s possible that people just simply adapt and there is no actual problem.

Will see what they do in January. Performance based MMR was also short lived.

Even if your body is out of sight, the locust still walks into range of enemy minions which is clearly visible to the enemy team. It only takes a single synapse farting to check the lanes for locust to find the abathur.

You can deduce on which lane he is closest to and how much the locust travelled, not his exact location.
