I think Anub is still King. Even after the nerfs. The CC chains he can pull with rewind on level 20 is just unreal. Just anub alone can stunlock multiple enemies, if not the entire team for around 5 seconds I believe. Cocoon is such a game changer too! It can set up such good teamfights if not countered. And the beetles constantly block skillshots.

Anub’arak is still my go to, for many of the same reasons you listed, plus he is deceptively tanky with the right talents. When he is banned, I usually pick Johanna, or (unpopular opinion incoming!) Blaze.

Don’t really have a go-to tank right now, I feel that none of the tanks have a strong edge over the others right now. So I just tend to draft whichever tank I think will work best depending on the situation.

I have been playing a damage tank Varian. It is so fun to play as a tank and be able to get solo kills.

i only play malganis , if i have to tank, and there is no other option
It used to be Johanna, but now is Anub. I had a funny ranked game where enemy team used all 3 bans on tanks, Diablo, Garrosh, and ETC, but nope I was going Anub the whole time.
Really? I can’t seem to make Malganis work at all. It’s almost as if he went from that huge menace to just being…. average. I can’t seem to get a good game out of him these days

doesnt mean i stomp ppl with him.
But yeah, in coordinated play he is really good. only , n ONLY if your allies dont phew phew on the targets tht u put to sleep, and instead of phew phew n wake them up, they get ready to set up a wombo.
Otherwise, its a pain

Hahah. Well I like Malganis but I simply have a hard time using him. Maybe you’re right, it needs to be done on a more coordinated team because tbh the last times I’ve used him was on solo QM.
Anubarak, etc and johanna if you are an occasionnal tank.
Diablo garrosh and muradin are still usable but you need to know what you are doing.
