Remove the old system of banning, create a weekly pool of banned heroes, and just have the hero selection part instead.
Maps in ranked/unranked should be loaded before hero selection just like ARAM.
Edit: I wanted to include my reasoning would be to get into the action faster. The problem with Heroes is that the pacing of the competitive game is too slow.
Id like to try this system honestly. I could see it being fun and removes all the one trick pony players
This game is not overwatch sadly
It is funny to see people here asking for this because over on the OW forums everyone is complaining saying they want player selected bans before each match.
I agree with OP that weekly bans are much better. The draft phase is forever long in HoTS.

This change would encourage players to purchase and learn additional heroes before they can step into ranked matches. I feel like many players would appreciate Blizzard taking care of the bans themselves.
