All races in WoW have certain, usually small, perks unique to their race. So for example, Tauren have bonus HP (well, stamina, same thing), an ability called Warstomp which is a short AoE stun after a short cast time, and they can pick herbs faster. The human racial is called Every Man for Himself (EMFH), and back in WoD, it was basically a free self-cleanse available on a relatively short CD. At the time, it removed all impairing effects, so was very overpowered in PvP. It was nerfed in the following expansion to only remove some CC, not everything.

From your description I thought that they had a trait that would reset the cd of trinkets or something. But now I get it, since they don’t need the pvp trinket, they can have 2 damage trinkets.
I don’t even know why they feel the need to change racial traits so much. When I was young, there were 1% increased elemental resistances and perks on professions. Humans had reputation perks and were considered the best for this reason. Gnomes had extra mana or something
