Void Thrasher Hero Concept

Introduction

The Void thrasher was a unit type introduced in Starcraft 2's "Legacy of the Void" Expansion, What a Void thrasher is, is unclear, they are never directly called hybrid, instead simply they are referred to as "Void Thrashers". I'm assuming they are servents of amon similarly to narud, as narud while in his void form looked very similar.

What Do they Do?

Void Thrashers in the campaign were essentially long ranged attackers that attacked the mission objective with large plasma balls? I dont particularly know what they were, however they had infinite range and dealt very low damage. In the game they are also seen able to do a lightning attack, by channelling a large amount of energy they attacked the ground dealing very high damage.

The Voidthrasher as seen in the image above, is quite large, and stuck in some sort of portal. If it were actually in HotS the voidthrasher would likely be outside of a portal (which the actual model for it makes it look like a giant octopus when out of the portal) and have about the same size as deathwing. In Starcraft, the voidthrasher has large blade like appendages that are never actually used, I feel they should have a use if introduced into hots.

My Concept

The voidthrasher as a hero in my opinion, would have a very unique style to it (one could say...it should be out of this world...alright Im done now its out of my system). In my opinion the unique playstyle should revolve around mouse pointer control. Now this might make literally zero sense, but hear me out. The mouse pointer controls movement and ability placement normally, now lets say for a minute, it doesnt only do this, it also controls (what this whole concepts about) ability movement. Abilities with this ability movement, follow the mouse pointer at a set speed while getting channeled, and only toggle on and off with using it.

Q: Lightning Blast - When channeling place a circle of lightning at your feet, it moves towards your mouse pointer at a speed half that of a hero, after 2 seconds, it shoots out lightning dealing 85 damage per second to any hero caught in a radius of 3 of the ability. While casting this you cannot autoattack. This ability is limited to moving up to a range of 8 units.

W: Emerging Tentacle - When channeling, slide a tentacle into a void portal, place a .5 radius circle at your feet, it moves towards you mouse pointer at a speed 1.25x that of a normal hero, after 3 seconds the tentacle emerges, stunning and dealing 250 damage to any target caught within, the tentacle is unpathable, it will move at a speed equal to .25x a normal hero, it like anything with a hitbox, cannot move into anything else with a hitbox. The tentacle can only go a maximum of 9 units away. While the tentacle is in play, you move 100% slower

E: Pummel - Every .25 second after casting this ability, a line .25 units across and 6 units out is drawn between your hero and your mouse pointer, after 1.5 seconds the thrasher strikes all of these areas with appendages (in order of placement) over .1 seconds dealing 45 damage and slowing any heroes hit by 15% for each appendage they were hit by. While this is channeling you cannot move.

CD: 12 seconds

Trait

Trait: Pure of form, pure of essence - The void thrasher can channel as many abilities as he wants, silences and stuns do not effect these channels.

Special Mount

Submerge into the void: The mount is a channeled ability, that moves towards the mouse pointer at a speed 5x that of a normal hero, after 12 seconds, the voidthrasher does a 3 second animation and teleports to that location.

CD: 45 seconds
